In what way, do Melb and PA losing undermine the respect in which Coll should be held?
The poster's belief that finishing on top automatically earns a respect whereas the media are interested in the teams finishing lower. I suggested this might have something to do with the rapid demise of the other 2 top 4 finishes. Their fate determined that Collingwood and Brisbane would have to earn respect rather than having it merely bestowed due to ladder position. Besides the wins of GWS and Carlton over the higher ranked teams are fresh in the mind of commentators.

I think all the understandable concern is from past prelims where we've cooked it, so I think it's natural we have more pessimism then confidence.

Tell you what I won't be celebrating until the final siren if we win becuase I've seen way too much BS haha
2019 against GWS we cooked it - otherwise I'd suggest that our prelim results have been good.

Was just checking the big footy GWS board.
These clowns think they have got the game won already. They know their ruckman is injured will play with one hand but then they think Pruess will play instead watch Coxy and Cameron work these GWS clowns over. However if they go with thier current ruckman hell get smashed hard i really hope they do

Few things about the Gws Giants this game will not be a repeat of 2019.We are primed to smash them hard.
They have played 2 weeks of bruise free footy. Port with no backline kicked 1 goal 9 against them in the last quarter had port kicked a little straighter they would have won with no backline

Plus Friday NIGHT footy when was the last time GWS played on the G AT night ground could be dewy ???????????
Watch the BLACK AND WHITE sunami blow the ORANGE whimper of gust to nothing.

Everything is poised for the pies to smash our way to a grand final. All media backing GWS even Peter Moore sauid this a 50 50 game.

But pies by 30 points i reckon Collinwood v Carlton grand final and we smash carlton to win the flag.

Unleash Naicos Toby greene has poked the bear

Briggs is fair game.

the karate kid GIF
Pity neither Cox or Cameron have a nasty streak in them. Imagine what Mummy would do to Briggs shoulder

Remember we are poised for this they are coming off 6 day break we are had the week off We should have the legs to go all day they will run out of steam especially if put the burners on for 4 quarters they don't have 4 quarters of hard tough footy in them you watch

But pies put the foot to their throats and destroy them no mercy

TAKE FROM THEM EVERYTHING AND GIVE THEM NOTHING..............leonidis king of Sparta

Whatever position he plays, I really want Nick to take the kick outs.

Even if he has to leg down from the forward pocket each time the Giants kick a behind.

His vision, kicking skill and ability to run for the second possession and consequent 100m of territory gain is too good to waste IMO

Yes, one thing i don't want to see is our kick outs just going to right half back flank time and time again. It's become so predictable and makes it near impossible to get any transition going from a kick out. Tomorrow night is the time to take a few more risks, Naics is the man for the job.

I don't think it'll start that way. GWS's entire game is purring like cat, so I'm not sure they'd want to mess with that. But from memory they tried last time? I can't recall. They're a different team now though.

Purring to massive 4 goal wins against the Saints and Port.

Different proposition for them against the pies tomorrow night.

It tends to happen most years with elimination final winners (the hype gets over the top) and they get thumped at some point - they've cleared the 2nd hurdle which makes them more dangerous but the thumping they're due is hopefully coming up on Friday

We've become a bit out of sight, out of mind.

We put the Dees to the sword early in the QF and the cue went in the rack late.

Since then, the orange team has played 2 games, for 2 good wins against also rans.

Big boy footy tomorrow night will sort them out.

SP kicking that goal on his right foot in the first quarter is the loudest roar I think I have ever heard at one of our games.

Yep 100%

So glad I'm not the only one

Pendles Goal in that first quarter was next level loud. Closely followed by Ben Johnson's right after lol
