What about Broad? Not sounding good. Might open the door for Butler which I wouldn't be upset about, been winning with Broady basically doing nothing, imagine how much more dangerous we look with Butler in as well.

Though, it prob just means B. Ellis comes in, which isn't bad either.

Man I hope Dusty gets up..........

Can we expect comments from Balme/the club at some point today, re: Dusty?

Read somewhere this morning that he said all 3 were absolutely fine (Martin Rioli & Lambert )only injury concern was Butler & that he was trying to prove his fitness !

Obviously not telling the truth

Balme known for the smoke and mirrors though hey, haha

Also I think that was written last night :(

If Dusty is real sore, do we park him in the 50 so he plays a Caddy role and push Caddy to 80% midfield time?

Caddy is a forward, not a midfielder. Also robs us of a pretty potent forward.

If Dusty players more forward than mid then there will be more midfield time for Conca , Higgins etc.

Ideally we'd switch the mid:fwd ratios of caddy and martin, although Caddy hasn't impressed in the mid for a while so it would be a big loss

Grimes said Dusty is fine. We all know he hasn’t been 100% all season, it’s the finals now so he’s just being carefully managed. He’ll be fine, on Friday he’s going to flop it out and go bang.
When?

That's what I think to. They say the extra week of doesn't help. This is why it does. Imagine if we had to play last week. Dusty, Rance and Jack might all have struggled.

Just earlier on the radio post this morning’s training. His words were “storm in a tea cup. Dusty and Rioli completed everything they needed to do” which to me is code for being managed. Dusty ran out the Hawks game so it can’t be anything too untoward and all precautions are being taken.

I remember him finishing the Hawks game fine, so either it's a delayed injury soreness, or something he did in the first 30 seconds of training the other day. Maybe he was playing with his dog. :drunk::drunk:

Either way, every player would be carrying something this time of year, and we've all long suspected he has carried something all year. Although I will admit the last 5-6 weeks I thought he was looking cherry ripe.

Hopefully a media beat up over nothing and we are just managing loads with the longer breaks. Our conditioning staff have been awesome the last few years with their judgement. No reason currently to suspect that still isn't the case.
