Is this the banter thread? If not then it’s bloody disgraceful that we can put up with Collingwood trolls ruining the thread and our lot falling for it and tagging along. I’ve avoided forums for the week and media bc of all the bull shit being spun.
Richmond >39.5 is the bet.

Guys, lets just focus on the game while toning down the arrogance.

Anyway, I think our forward line is crucial in this game like it was in our past two matches. We need to make their defenders rush their kicks by putting on a lot of pressure. That way we'll get repeat entries inside 50 if we fail to convert.

Round 6 game:
Clearances - Rich 36, Coll 24
Contested Possessions - Rich 171, Coll 140
Inside 50s - Rich 67, Coll 51

Round 19 game:
Clearances - Rich 34, Coll 45
Contested Possessions - Rich 154, Coll 163
Inside 50s - Rich 57, Coll 47

Based on this, I think that we will win comfortably if we dominate contested possessions and clearances. If they dominate those stats, then our forward pressure giving us repeat entries inside 50 is key like it was in the Round 19 game. I hope our midfield is switched on in this game.

I do feel we take it up a notch in this area for finals.

Last time we played them Grundy dominated Nank in the taps and that was the reason for the clearance differential. They left Phillips out back as the sweeper by himself and the were flinging it out the back to him all day to the point where it was doing my head in. That's why along with Sidebottom and the others he also had 30. If the clearances aren't going our way we need to man up better around the stoppage to allow an even contest and worst case a quick rushed kick.

Yeah exactly. This is what we tend to do, but we did not do this against them in the second game. I expect our midfield will be better around the stoppages this time around.

The insecurity in this thread is f*ckin' awesome. So aggressive. So unstable. It's like a bunch of creeps barking at each other in a mental asylum.

Never change Richmond fans, never change.
now i know you're upset that your mum and sister knocked you back and your dads conjugal visit isn't til next week but lighten up and enjoy life. maybe give your uncle a call

Real danger game and we must bring our A game with intense pressure to win.

Umpires will try and help Collingwood get up as always but we can't let that stop our intensity and attack on the ball!! If anything we simply have to stay focussed and go harder to get up!!
standard finals game against inferior opposition
we just need to do what we do

I remember when the media were pestering Rance, hoping he would announce his retirement.
We don't need the media speculation.
Let them sing the praises of Melbourne and Collingwood.
In terms of selection, I think it would be unlikely for Butler to return.
If Broad has an injury, which I doubt, Ellis would return.
I seriously cannot see Butler replacing Higgins.
At this stage, I would say Broad would play on Mihocek, Astbury on H-Elliott, Vlaustin on Thomas, Short on Stephenson, these can be reconfigured of course.
WHE will run rings around Astbury. I think Grimes will go to either him or Stephenson, Rance to De Goey when he is deep. Broad to Mihocek and Astbury on Cox.

COX worries me so much.. not because of his ability, but because he got absolutely NOTHING from the umps against WC, but was given a golden shower last week.... knowing our luck, that shower will continue and you won't even be able to breathe near the bloke without giving away a free.

COLLINGWOOD coach Nathan Buckley says the Magpies will “outsource” the kidnapping of Richmond superstar Dustin Martin in a bid to ensure he does not play on Friday night.

Tigers football boss Neil Balme last night told the Herald Sun that Martin would have to be “kidnapped” to miss Friday night’s preliminary final against Collingwood, laughing off injury concerns after he trained only lightly again yesterday.

Buckley on SEN radio 'we are not Richmond 2.0 we are our own unique team'.

That is a late and bewildering confession to their fans

the troglodytes have been banking on them being Richmond Juniors all season to give them hope.

That is one sure way to flush your own members hopes down the toilet coach Buckley

if they have been sold all year that they are an attempted copy of Richmond

don't take that last, snowflake glimmer of hope in hell, away from them now.

:D:D:D
