Adams too
Game not going to be decided in the middle. We've shown we can beat them without midfield supremacy. Game will be about whichever attack is more dangerous/which ever defence stops the most goals.
Can you apply that train of thought to how Richmond might play ?Pies played well in patches Saturday night and if they do that again we will win easily . However if they actually play like they did against West Coast I think it’s a 50/50 game
2017 AdelaideSorry to be a buzz kill as it's not my intention.
While I do think we will win, expecting an easy win in a prelim is a cautionary tale.
I hope it isn't close but history suggests - more often than not - it will be.
Fingers crossed we smash them like we did GWS last year.View attachment 560164

Touche2017 Adelaide
2014 Sydney
2012 Sydney
2010 Collingwood
2009 Geelong
All hot favourites who won prelims easily
The pies will challenge us if we’re off, but if we’re on and they’re a touch off then watch out.
ToucheAnd the other prelim in those cherry picked years were.....
2007: Port Adelaide d North Melbourne by 87 pts
2009: Geelong d Collingwood by 73 pts
2011: Geelong d West Coast by 48 pts
2012: Sydney d Collingwood by 26 pts
2013: Fremantle d Sydney by 25 pts
2014: Sydney d North Melbourne by 71 pts
Your point has validity though, if you aren’t on then anyone is gettable.Touche

I like this x 2
Tigers have been the standout team no doubt but make no mistake, this is a free crack. Pies have exceeded expectations this year despite the injuries to key players throughout the year, so we’ll go in with absolutely nothing to lose. That’s dangerous.
Either way Friday night is going to be electric.

“im in the theyre beatable camp”I’ve heard/read a few Collingwood players this week already and they are all starting to sound like Chris Scott.
Can you apply that train of thought to how Richmond might play ?
Still think the midfield battle is a key that's there biggest strength .You win the middle you cut there supply to there forward line game on your terms then.

There is a Mark Knight cartoon of Dusty in today's Herald-Sun but it is behind a paywall.

Treloar
They are all trying to convince themselves they can win.
We are just sitting back saying how good Collingwood are, just waiting till Friday night, where we will rip their heads off and send their fans home on the early trains.
They are going to get pumped #novaseline
No i mean what happens if we play like we did against the hawks and they are off.Yes they play really well and we are off a bit it will be 50/50 .
First game we won the clearances, second game they won the clearance, both games we won the inside 50 count by 10+. Clearances are only effective if you do something with them. For sure.
If the last two games are anything to go by we will only break even at best. Which should suit us fine as we have a much stronger defence/attack imo.
They’re going to have to really get a run on, catch our defence off guard and punish us with their ball movement and goal kicking.
