Off the ball incident that left the OI player with many facial injuries.

Beaumaris must be disappointed in his actions, considering they were leading by 80 points at the time.

It has been handled by the tribunal, and we now moved forward to next week.

Xxxxx - that's all my figures crossed hoping that he rumors are true. Would be a very lucky break. Don't deserve it, but rules are rules and we would accept he points, quietly.

Whilst somewhat biased. There should be no question. Play an unregistered player, lose the 4 points and the other team gets your "for". Granted in this case the penaty will be harsh, but you can't be a little bit pregnant.

BTW, Beauy have allegedly been involved in 9 melees since 2010. Forget how much it has cost them, what about the costs the other clubs have had to pay?

In this day and age of electronic players transfers and on-line compilation of team sheets it is virtually impossible to accidentally play an unregistered player. You can’t load the player onto your team sheet if he is not cleared and/or registered with the VAFA and your club. Some leniency for early rounds afforded with pre-approval if admin actions are still in progress but otherwise, unless he was playing under an assumed identity (which surely he was not), how can this even happen?

My memory last season Old Brighton benefited. Round 2, Oakleigh played an unregistered player, Oakleigh lost the game by about 30 or 40 points - forfeited their points scored and that was reflected in Old Brighton's %.

I heard a rumour (from Aaron Davey, who apparently knows the Beauy coach), that Andrew Demetriadis has stepped in to try to sort out the issue, and is 100% behind them - apparently it was all just a silly mistake? Can probably rehash a press release.
Anyway, if only they were Old Xaverians then the whole issue would just go away! Like Magic. ****!
