Damned if they do, damned if they don't!! I remain hopeful that the loser of Scotch/OB 2nd semi will be very nervous about facing Bernard's in a prelim.

They will be terrified, so much so, no one will sleep the night before...... A huge home ground advantage for the Doggies at that
joint.

Geez they will be tired if they don't sleep before a final. Will make them cherry ripe to be knocked off.

Hold your horses lads. Bernards lost to Monash at home and have to play them this weekend away. Snowdogs are no certainty to win their Semi against Monash or AJAX (unlikely).

+

Neither Brighton or Scotch are certainties to win whoever they play in the Elimination either.

A lot of horse talk around here.
There are still a lot of teams that could saddle up come Prelim day.

There you go "Baggers".....WG agrees with me.........

Was wondering when the tribunal results usually come out? Stopped in at the Parkdale v Monash game on the weekend and saw a Monash bloke get coward punched behind play with about 10 minutes to go in the 3rd qtr, absolutely disgusting act. Anyone know how many weeks he got?

Been out of the VAFA coalface for a little to long it seems. Us supporters would lose our heads sometimes if they weren't screwed on. Cheers for the update.

4 weeks for a charge which carries a 5 week minimum. Curious result, as the vision was damning.
Not sure what the defence would have been at the tribunal. Hard to make any excuses for the bloke. Off the play? Tick. Monash player facing in the other direction and completely oblivious? Yep. Provocation? Nup. Punch hard enough to knock him out and leave him stunned for a few hours? Yep.

four weeks seems light.

Interesting as we had a bloke done on a Video Report. Was charged with Category 2 and said the punishment was 5 weeks. Victim was struck but finished off the game with no discomfort. VAFA didn't want to reduce Category from 2 to 1, so off we go to the Tribunal. Long story short, Tribunal had to convince the VAFA to downgrade and player ended up with 2 weeks. He now can play the last game of the year.

Any chance you know the time of the incident?

Just watched the footage of the parkdale incident. Why aren't the police involved? The vafa are obviously not fair dinkum about player welfare. How can they justify a 4 penalty?
