AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
I sense a football calendar is formulating.Rocking up in just a hat would do something.
Poor old Davies - he's copping it from everywhere. Can't see the hat. Looks like an accurate character assessment to me.
He is even copping it from the sun.Poor old Davies - he's copping it from everywhere.
Solid to good in most areas, even excellent, but there are a variety of concerns with hat related metrics.Any training reports on the go, gang? I’m *en desperate here at work.
Josh Treacy is looking like a granite statue of thumping masculine football and you're talking about hats?
Has Sturt has a full pre-season the entire time he's been with us?Emmett and Sturt with limited pre seasons now.
F**k me!
He’s honestly not far off.I'd really love to see him take that next step and become a bonafide AFL quality CHF this season. He's such a likeable guy, imagine being a young KPF off the rookie list and talking about being a leader, what, 4 years into your career?
He’s honestly not far off.
Needs to clunk those contested marks. Would love Pavlich to teach him. Drops marks when he really should be taking them, especially inside 50.
What's wrong with playing Frederick on a wing?At least we don't have to worry about Freddy moving to a wing now. Hopefully.
He’s saying because we brought in some wingers we can keep Freddy in his natural habitatWhat's wrong with playing Frederick on a wing?
Think it's moreso that we can't afford to move him out of the forward line with Emmett and Sturt InjuredHe’s saying because we brought in some wingers we can keep Freddy in his natural habitat
I think with the way Sharp and NOD are training (also Aish and Matthew Johnson) they are comfortable where things are at for Wing position. Stanley being another option.Think it's moreso that we can't afford to move him out of the forward line with Emmett and Sturt Injured
He obviously prefers him as a forward, I'd like him to start working on his wing craft tho
Voss is more your Corbett type rather than a sturtI think with the way Sharp and NOD are training (also Aish and Matthew Johnson) they are comfortable where things are at for Wing position. Stanley being another option.
The interview with Chapman indicates he has been training exclusively with the backs so another example of the wing being covered.
Frederick’s I like as half forward roaming upfield and then charging back towards goal with turnover.
I’d get a bit more concerned about Emmett and Sturt if not back training with the main group by late Jan. looking at Emmett he is progressing along and Sturt has had surgery already. I assume meniscus clean-up. If is minor (as reported by club) it shouldn’t disrupt him that much and a decent chunk of his rehab time will be over the Xmas break. The report yesterday indicated back training with the main group mid to late Jan.
If both have a slight delayed start to the season whilst not ideal you just make sure the replacements are fit and firing. If that is Banfield for a couple of weeks or even Patrick Voss then so be it. An Essendon Poster indicated that Voss isn’t really a KPF - he is more your mobile medium forward (just he is 193/194cm instead of 188-190cm like Sturt and Banfield).
I've had the meniscus clean up. I was walking on it next day. I was running after a week or so. That's obviously without specialist care or a fitness plan.I think with the way Sharp and NOD are training (also Aish and Matthew Johnson) they are comfortable where things are at for Wing position. Stanley being another option.
