Running laps on WednesdayThe West saying Yeo been absent for a week? Anyone able to read their article of todays training?
Yeah but his intent is there so he'll go ok,he's an inside mid, hes strong over the ball, i think its more about willingness.Only downside I see in West is he looks so thin in the arms. Like a stick compared to other mids. Reckon that's his only downfall at the top level. He has to play mostly outside on the wing and use his leg speed to get away. Defensive side is a concern. Players like Bont will just run straight threw him without much hassle. We already have Gaff as our one dimensional mid. Having two that can't tackle could be a huge issue. Most mids these days are all rounded and can do everything.

The Eagles had two six minute sessions, which was dominated by the team of stars.
They then spent seven minutes working on in-game scenarios, handed the younger group a three goal lead and challenged the experienced players to produce a come from behind win.
I dug myself this hole. Anyway I can keep some dignity.Picture from last week vs a year ago.
You can just admit you're wrong mate, it's okay.
West will be better but we also have a few more such as Edwards (2) who are positives. Good feeling about 2022.The West
Oh Yeo: Why Eagles’ star mid is sitting out training
West Coast have ramped up pre-season training with strong match simulation but the absence of Elliot Yeo all week has been a talking point.thewest.com.au
West Coast insist star midfielder Elliot Yeo is fully fit and simply being managed after not training with the main group for the entire week.
Yeo has spent two seasons battling osteitis pubis but appeared to be in good condition after returning to training for the 2022 campaign.
His sudden removal from the main group to join players such as Liam Ryan and Liam Duggan, who have been building their fitness in the rehab group sparked concerns, but West Coast say he is just following his own program.
The Eagles’ pre-season stepped up a notch on Friday as they competed in full ground match simulation with AFL umpires officiating.
Oscar Allen, Jack Darling and Connor West stood out throughout the session, which predominantly pitted the best players against the fringe group and a host of top-ups.
West’s form was a significant positive given he was in the strong team.
He played only five games last season after being selected in the mid-season draft, but has changed his body shape to transition from being a contested ball winner to someone who can play as both an inside and outside midfielder.

Nic Naitanui and Josh Kennedy were among the big names to sit out match simulation despite completing the rest of the session.
Jack Redden was withdrawn from all contested work to focus on running as he builds his fitness following shoulder surgery.
Top draft pick Campbell Chesser watched from the sidelines as he is gradually introduced to training following two weeks of quarantine over Christmas.
The Eagles spent plenty of time at the start of the session walking through their positioning for specific match situations.
New West Coast head of strategy and stoppage Jarrad Schofield talked the squad through his expectations as the clubs learns a new game plan, with players spread throughout the field.
The group then split into groups on both ovals to work through a series of drills.
If you guys paid any attention at all, you'd know that West's arms are being replaced by Langdon's legs later this off-season through an adventurous path of experimental surgery.
re:West...but has changed his body shape to transition from being a contested ball winner to someone who can play as both an inside and outside midfielder...
Classic Weak Coast S&C mindset. Dilute the strength that gets a bloke drafted to slightly improve a facet of their game that they don't have the skills or aptitude for.
Likely to end up with zilch.
That's Rotham. Darling was wearing yellowDarling looking the fittest I've ever seen him. Looks like his lost some muscle. Think that's a great move as he was getting to big and lost a yard of pace last few season. If we can get him to lead out more freely and do those chase tackles he did in his first few seasons he was one of the quickest forwards going around. It will make a huge difference to us this season.

That is the first definitive confirmation we have a new game plan. I'm feeling optimistic! The West

That's literally what he's doneThought West needed to put on size if anything.
Sounds like he's trimmed down to play more outside. That's literally what he's done
You haven't seen him recently I'm assuming. He's looking stronger and thicker than last year.Sounds like he's trimmed down to play more outside.

I think it's safe to say we had more than one issue. But I was reliably informed many times on here during last season that the game plan wasn't the issue
