I'm struggling to see any structure and game plan here. It's like they have no idea where to run or position themselves for the next play.
Same here...even in the first half, not much that stood out as improvement, no distinct style of play...early days but would like to see more cohesion or dare I say 'synergy'?

Seems as if much of the training has gone into attacking from defence at the expense of actual defending in defence.

Too many times lead-up space for Fremantle players wasn't closed down that resulted in easy goals.

Flagging during that quarter compared to the opponents again - surely fitness isn't going to raise it's head again?

Seeing Dockers running free in a line of five through the centre square in the 3rd quarter suggests otherwise.

And for the life of me, every time we've gone into traffic it has been coughed up.

Is the club even doing in-tight drills? Certainly not enough from the looks of it.

It’s pre season, so who cares … BUT … there was a passage in the first quarter where Freo centred the ball into the middle of the ground and Reid was the closest player and if he’d just been playing footy would have got the turnover and away we go but instead he wasn’t watching the ball and was sprinting back to shadow his man who was running forward.

That’s Simmo. All day every day. Coach out flare and offence and focus on reactive defending.

We’ve played without dare and dash all game.

It’s pre season, it doesn’t matter. But the coaching and system remain a concern.

This is the biggest concern, the same patterns that have been hallmarks over the past few years have been on show again.

Saying this in case I get claimed to be a Simpson/Club apologist, but without a clear improvement in terms of game plan, general competitiveness etc. he should be moving on. Willing to see how the early rounds unfold for now…
