For the last time, Geelong won by 2 kicks not by 1, unless you don't count goals after the siren now.

So did Brisbane choke in 2002 when they won their 2nd premiership when they only beat you by just over a kick, if that's the logic you're using?

Hawthorn lost on scoring shots in the 08 grand final and it didn't stop them from winning the GF.

I think Freo's season will be somethin like St Kilda's in 2004. Inexperienced side playing with youthful vigour. Will be up there for much of the season, probably drop away in the middle-latter but come back in the finals to give it a real shake. But in the end I think they will faulter if they have to play any of Dogs, St Kilda, Geelong or Pies at the G.

Not that you'd be disappointed with that, by the looks of it they got a team that could challenge for the flag for a number of year. Just don't think 2010 is their year.

You know one thing that shits me is the fact that during the H&A season we don't play a single game at the MCG. So if we were to play any of the above teams at the home of football I think we would lose, it's just stupid fixturing by the AFL not giving us atleast one game there. Anyway.

Rushed behinds don't magically get subtracted from the scoreline. The ball was in the immediate vicinity of the goal, and Geelong were putting enough pressure on the Hawks that they couldn't get the ball out, and to make them take the soft option. Not much different to scoring a behind anyway.


Also, take away rushed behinds for St Kilda and we had more scoring shots too.
