There is no doubt you are right, I think the club is currently working on a strategy as we speak, to get Cousins continued support for his problem as well as counselling etc, but I believe he will be gone if not by tonight by the end of the week.

Condolances guys.

I love watching the west coast eagles play footy, as i stil believe when they ae fit and on-song, are the best team in the league.

It is a massive shame for the sport that a guy like Ben Cousins might never play again as he's fantastic to watch, and ill miss seeing him on the field.

Unfortunately, and as you all seem to agree, he has no choice but to step away from AFL and stop inflicting negative press upon the club and team mates.

I feel sorry for the coasters. Cousins is without doubt my favourite non-hawthorn player. He's going through a tough-time, but he is still in the top 10 players in the league, make no mistake.

No one is beyond redemption. He was addicted to drugs, is surrounded by a media waiting for him to fail, experienced the death of a close friend. Even under favourable circumstances, it is a huge task to recover from addiction. We're all behind cuz, and once he's right, I hope he comes back and plays AFL because he is a true superstar.
