The Competition bye and we could have extended the round by one week

very easy to add two games to the round

If I was the clubs involved (bar Ipswich) I would be asking that draw is changed so that those teams that finished in the top half play the other teams in the top half twice and those in the lower half (including the new teams) play each other twice. Might be a bit of a logistical nightmare but only the real fair way to do it if they want competitiveness in the league.

Has some merrit not a bad way of doing it

Drop 3 of the bye rounds and start a week earlier and we can play everyone twice.

Strange draw indeed...I think I saw Redcliffe had both byes in the 1st half, plus playing grand finalists early....could be a long way off the pack with a couple of losses come half way.

that's not "fair", basically what happened in the 2013 pineapple cup and although it benefited us in terms of the ladder, you had springwood finish top playing all the bottom sides twice just ahead of palmy who played the good sides twice

gives a massive and unfair leg up to any of the bottom sides that are big improvers

Ipswich will come unstuck at the pointy end when they have to play the "better" sides in finals. But who's to say who the better sides are atm. Time will tell.
