Start back at training tomorrow night SM but prior to Christmas the colts numbers were strong. They are still raining with the Senior group until we announce a colts coach which we expect to do this week!

Any Club or Clubs got a massive overflow of Colts players yet to feed back to QFA Clubs?

Trying to guage if new system will work or not?

probably one year too early to be asking this question, as not a single player in SEQ aged out of youth football between seasons to increase Colts numbers.

Correct - all the 16.5 boys are now 17.5 and it will be 2024 where these kids make the decision of playing QFA senior footy or not. Mind you there would be still a whole lot of QFA colts boys (U18) who were bottom age in 2022 that would have been eligible to play colts in 2023 still that need to make a decision as to where they are going.

We have maybe 3-5 QFA Colts who have moved over, if you watched that competition last year, there were very very few kids running around in it that were up to QAFL Colts anyway, standard was very very poor which probably confirms that most of the talent was already collecting in QAFL Colts of playing QFA seniors.

We have picked up a few pretty good ones who had been playing Senior footy but will now play Colts.

Broadbeach have taken both Nick Malceski and Travis Bell from Labrador. Hard to believe two recently retired AFL players in Malceski and Harbrow are both serving as coaches for a local QAFL team and neither is the head coach. Just shows how strong Broady are at the moment!

I hear Broadbeach have lost a few senior players be it good ones ,, Rumour is Moncrieff is gone, as well as Lynch, Nutting, Fisher, Selsby, Pickering...all good regular senior players ,, but wehave recruited very well ,, with players that will more then cover these departures

I know Roos will be super fit! Have had a really really solid preseason with a level 3 S&C coach at the helm. How that translates into playing the game will be interesting but I think they are quietly confident they will compete again in 2023.

Great training numbers up at Noosa and the boys look really fit too_Once again a pretty big change in playing roster and whilst have recruited well so have most of the opposition. If the draw we receive tomorrow is similar to the draft draw we have a really good launching pad in regard to early home games where you’d hope to set yourself up.Like to think we will be around the mark like last year!
