Seem like he’ll be competing with McEntee, Evans and Mead (Boak and Rioli to a lesser extent) for that final forward sport.

Id love to see him come straight in as the sub.Welcome to Port Adelaide Quinton.
I am assuming the Narkle will play for the Port Magpies this week.
That's VFL tho what about AFL?
I see what you did there...Didn't know that Peps, Quinton and Shai Bolton were great mates.
That's a great article and for some reason makes me feel a whole lot more positive about taking him.Sparkle Narkle ... Nice story. I am rapt to have him. The SPP link is a good one.

Why? Wouldnt they have seem him play in the VFL? (where there is mixed reports from different VFL posters on his defensive pressure)I understand picking him up so we have an extra mid but he got delisted at Geelong for being defensively lazy, ill need to see him play in the sanfool for a few games before we select him for afl.

Think he will play wing, but it’s either of thoseSeem like he’ll be competing with McEntee, Evans and Mead (Boak and Rioli to a lesser extent) for that final forward sport.
Who?Short sighted pick
Hinkley desperation
Don't see him being resigned next year
Would have preferred a KPP

If McEntee continues to play at his current level he'll surely get another 12 months.I am not so sure about next year as I see Dumont, McEntee, Evans and Teakle as delist candidates before Narkle. Those guys have all had a year or two to cement a spot at AFL level and they have not really advanced past depth players. Jonas, Hayes and Fantasia are also candidates. I can see Narkle getting getting until the end of 2024 to show what he has to offer.
If we have a new Coach, which seems less likely as the weeks roll on, things may change considerably.
If you watched the highlights of a back pocket I swear it would show every goal they ever kicked. Narkle is a midfielder who can drift forward and kicks goals.Quinton Narkle's highlights reel shows he can kick goals on the run but there isn't much vision of his field play. He has kicked 18.14 so he is not that accurate and doesn't kick that many. Maybe this is because he was played in the mid field? Going by the highlights reel he is a small forward type. When we recruited Steven Motlop I thought we were getting a goal kicking half forward but that did not really transpire, hopefully Quinton works out a little differently.

Stevie Motlop, Wylie buzza, Frank the tank, chasing sav-rat, and now this guy.
