Have we got a thing for Geelong rejects?
Stevie Motlop, Wylie buzza, Frank the tank, chasing sav-rat, and now this guy.
You forgot Ken Hinkley

Kenny will coach his beloved cats one way or another
In his second year in 2019 he averaged 17.2 touches and 0.8 goals per game. Every year since then has been a constant stream of either shortened COVID games or several appearances as sub warping those averages.A mid-forward who averages less than 6 kicks and half a goal per game doesn't scream AFL quality.
Partly because I think he would be well suited to be that kind of impact player. Why?
With our list the way it is, Teakle, McEntee and Evans ain’t on the discard pile next year.I am not so sure about next year as I see Dumont, McEntee, Evans and Teakle as delist candidates before Narkle. Those guys have all had a year or two to cement a spot at AFL level and they have not really advanced past depth players. Jonas, Hayes and Fantasia are also candidates. I can see Narkle getting getting until the end of 2024 to show what he has to offer.
If we have a new Coach, which seems less likely as the weeks roll on, things may change considerably.
Just think if she got married to Quinton she would be Megan Markle NarkleWelcome Megan Markle
He wouldn’t have to do very much to exceed evans or meads outputI'm a bit puzzled by this pick too. Interested to see what the plan is. Numerous posters have pointed it out but yeah, he ain't a small forward. Mid with occasional rotating into HFF, but if we're expecting him to be better in that role than Evans, Rioli, McEntee, or even to the same standard as SPP, I think we're due to be disappointed.

How do you know that we will lose Bergman and Mitch? With our list the way it is, Teakle, McEntee and Evans ain’t on the discard pile next year.
We will lose Hayes, Georgiadies, Burgmann, Jonas, Fantasia this year, Boak and Dixon, probably Lycett next year.
Maybe in a couple of weeks I reckon, seems like an impact sub type playerPartly because I think he would be well suited to be that kind of impact player.
Partly becasue I feel like that role relies less on knowing the ins and outs of the game plan.
And finally because it would just be exciting to see what a new player can do coming straight in.

Ok, I rechecked his post. Good one.Why trust a guy on list management that can't spell the player's names properly?
Just a gut feel, we are due to loose one or two (law of averages)How do you know that we will lose Bergman and Mitch?
I rate Sav very highly, has had an impressive year. Considering he has only played a handful of games as a key back he has been sensational. Intercept game is elite, struggles a bit in isolated one on ones, panics a bit. I think that improves with more reps and time.
Huge loss for us. Would look very good next to Aliir.
His stock is definitely up. We'd be asking for a first rounder if he wanted to come to you guys end of year.
We don’t need a first rounder for Esava. He is out of contract this year. He may even be a free agent. Geelong had their chance to trade him last year- they refused against his will. They didn’t play him in the GF. They didn’t improve his contract- they didnt let him go for a bigger pay day- they kept him on lower pay.Esava isn't good enough at this stage of his career to be receiving a first rounder for. He's a work in progress as a defender and been in and out of the team for a few years as a forward. For some perspective Alir Alir was a second rounder. Jeremy Finlayson was a third rounder.
Jeremy was a special case. GWS played nice letting him go for a third rounder so his wife could be with family. Wasn't Aliir let go partly because of salary cap issues? And it was a future second round draft pick. I do agree Esava is not worth a first round pick. Out of contract if he wants to come.We don’t need a first rounder for Esava. He has been professional this year. Either Geelong pay up (and then some) or he walks to us.
Alternatively Boak is about the right age for Geelong to want him back
