Aliir was defending.

Daniher was sitting out the back looking for the cheapie
If Aliir is moving off to hit the contest, someone else should be moving to cover Daniher.

Thats the defensive structure that fell apart there. Daniher was actually sitting in a very good position for where the ball would end up from the contest.

He handballed to one of the strongest kicks in the league.

You cannot be blaming Lycett for anything there.
And look what happened. Mckenzie was going to pump it in or go for goal why not just do it yourself instead of the chance of giving it away like we did…

He just needs to simplify his decision making and not try and bite off more than he can chew.

He missed an unpressured pass to a player 20m away. Nothing simpler than that.

But he has been terrific tonight. He gives nothing away in a contest.

Worried we will be running on our knees if we can't juice up half these injuries and get some bench rotations. And running on your knees can't be good for them....

We should win from here on I mean both teams playing way below par. One or two more goals should seal it.

If I had a dollar for every time we were in a winning position at the Gabba I’d have like, sixteen dollars.

I don't think we're playing below par at all. This has been a brutal, tough, hard, high pressure game. Literally finals like pressure in March. The skills have been a little rusty as you expect in round 1, but the greasy conditions have a part to play in that.

I'm very happy with what I'm seeing, we are exceeding my expectations by far, just not sure we can hold on. Kick 2 goals for the quarter and we probably win it. They've kicked 2 each quarter so far, so hang tough and we can win this.

I've really enjoyed this game. Stick your run and gun bullshit. This has been a war.
