C'
He was AA when Laird was at HB

The problem is Laird took his role in the last two seasons, and is a slight upgrade.

The two guys can't play in the same midfield, fir that midfield to be effective. And Crouch can't play any other role.

If I am honest, I am less interested in Crouch and more interested in who my Alias is.

jackster83 - still waiting. And skam85 seems to know who my alias is based on his likes. So excited to hear.

1) ... this forum just turns into unnecessary shitfights all the time. And most of the time it is simply a person having a different opinion about something minor. Yet people feel the needs for insults and personal attacks in response.

2) I guess this is what being shit for a few years does to people.
1) This. I'm tired of it too.
The posters who resort to ad hominem personal attacks lack reasoning and argument-building skills, hurling insults from behind the shield of anonymity. Gutless wonders.
The one that gets me most is "If you think X, you obviously don't know anything about football, you moron" and its variations.

2) Nah, I can't blame the Crows for the poor manners and lack of consideration of the posters you refer to.

If you’re after good manners and considerate discourse the internet may not be the place for you.
Oh? Why not?
"It's the Internet" = "People don't have to behave well" ??
Why then does BF have any Forum Rules at all?

It's a FOOTBALL Forum --- nothing to do with Health, Life and Death etc --- and we are all Crows supporters, which means we are all on, and support, the same side.

Who gives a shit about selection integrity? This season is gone.

If you are going to select a player give them a block of games. Invest games in our players that have the highest potential.

He’s past being selected on potential. He’s been in the system for years. He has shown he has the talent but he’s showing that his body isn’t up to it. We don’t need to see any more of it at AFL level, he can get his conditioning up playing 2s with an eye on 2023. Crouch is no different, it’s the way he’s getting around that is the problem, not whether he had the talent and was a good player at a point on the past.

Both must go if we’re serious about developing a contending list. It’s idiocy thinking that Milera deserves a block of games. He shouldn’t have been selected for either game and his output proves it.

Of course the game has changed. Can Crouch adapt? He is only 27 and has proven to be a high quality AFL player so I understand the club giving him every opportunity

Oh shit. I have an alias now? If you are gonna call it - name the Alias.

And maybe in your response try not being an absolute banana.
You’re Dmacks alias aren’t you?

Just on the Neil Craig philosophy - I think it also shows in our conveyor belt approach - and a reason we have a disparity between games played by seniors and juniors - and why we hold players back for years

Because we select 3 of each position and we wait for 1 to break down to replace them with the number 2 - and so on

Yet good coaches put talent in and work out how to use them after - its why Parnell gets a shot

Brown out means Jones would have been next but hey lets look at number 3 for - hmm 1 game - and get Brown back in

Ive forgotten what Craigy sounded like. He is so much clearer and precise than Nicks. He was a very good coach. We just needed to put better people around him as he didnt have the Blighty game day genius. To be fair not many coaches do these days. Everything is done through the week and Craighy was a very good Monday-Friday coach. You put Bailey or Walsh alongside Craigy and things may have been different.

He needed to be Blights genius, that was his job. He was the main man.

He was clearly a good coach in some aspects, and not so much in others.

I don’t think it helped that people like Trigg were so enthralled to him. That probably left a bit of gap in terms of management and accountability.

It's no suprise that he's not been successful anywhere he went after declaring that he was so loyal hed be a one club person to try to keep our job.

I think, in my opinion, that this is an example of the poor judgement and decision making that blighted (pun intended) his tenure.

That was just so unnecessary, cynical and frankly self-serving and manipulative.

I wish he didn’t go down that path because it has left a stain where it didn’t need to be

More likely put Craig along side Walsh, would be a better fit

The way we used to deal with people thinking they knew everything in the past was to make prediction threads. If you know something, you should be able to call it better than others. Yer, sure, in one thread someone might get lucky but if they do it time after time, then its skill, not luck. That's why you need a decent amount of those threads and to keep track of them over time to see who the best ones are. Captain hindsights are a dime a dozen and not worth shit to anyone. There's plenty of them around. In fact, this has inspired me with an idea for a new thread. See if you can pick it.

Age has nothing to do with it. He has never had pace but what small amount he had has dissipated. He got away with it in a good side in 2017 but he stands out in a rebuilding side which requires it's mids to have pace to breakaway from the pack and chase down opposition. The best thing for him to do is look for a better side which needs a mid who can extract the ball for others who are more damaging.

Remember when the P.E teacher put Craig on staff, mental.
