Last season blew it, and again this year, obvious errors of our ways, slow to react Ken. Going backwards, another year no finals.

Thanks m8, don't get me wrong i am gutted but footy is footy, as long as we improve next year and give it a big shake the light at the end of the tunnel will be a lot brighter.

You guys played hard and quite possibly should've won, but I've seen a lot of you deflect to all your outs.

As Bevo said with our injuries...something along the lines of 'I'll never use that as an excuse because it is extremely disrespectful to the 22 you put out there on the day'. Never thought of it like that until he said it.

That being said can't wait to get JJ, Adams, Murphy, Boyd, Clay Smith, Koby Stevens and Dahl back on our end. All would crack in to our best 22 somehow

We had no structure that's why. Our outs were more important to our side. We had a port magpies defense except Pittard really and no ruckman.

I don't care where Dixon sits on some list for contested marks. If John Butcher was getting a dozen set shots a game he'd probably be in the top 10 goal kickers as well, after all, he'd have to get some of them.

Meaningless stat that disregards the sheer weight of opportunity he gets. A ridiculous counter argument. Nobody is saying he can't mark, but he just doesn't stick enough and it is costing us games.

They killed us on that that little 15m chip kick on the lead just into the 50m. must have been at least 5 goals... Howards goal on 3QT only one all day hitting a forward on the lead. Not gonna win too many games relying on crumbing off dixon.

Great effort today, gutted to not get the 4 points.

A lot of that was young Austin caught out of position. No1 played in front.. even when we got smashed in those 30m hitouts

I'm disappointed , not upset . We should've won and it's pretty obvious that we would've definitely won if we had a first choice ruckman and an experienced tall defender .
I know that's a cop out but I don't think we can be angry at the coaching staff or the players as a whole .
There was at least 4 players out there today that aren't in our best 22 , three of them in defence .
We aren't a bad side , we've been dealt a hard hand to work with so far this year

When has this ever happened? Butcher is more often than not caught too hopelessly out of position to even be putting himself in the picture. Sure, Dixon had an off day with his hands today but he's so far and away the best contested mark in the team it's not funny. And he kicks straight.
