The speed of which she pulled that out and hurled it does make it look fairly pre meditated, it must have been ontop and ready to go. Its not that hard to assume Betts would kick a goal from an angle like that or atleast attempt it. Its a bit hard to say anything about the choice of what she threw but if the comments about saying "but he is a monkey" or whatever else are true then its clearly a racist act. Not the sort of thing we want or need in our game, we dont want to stoop to the levels the soccer are at.

Even if there is no verifiable evidence that she used the word "monkey" (but there appears that there is), the throwing of a banana at an Aboriginal player is in itself about as overtly racist as you can get.

She is clearly not all there and ignorant to boot.

She deserves some type of ban. However, rather than a punitive lifetime ban it would be nice to see the AFL or one of the clubs involved actually try to set up a dialogue with the woman and see if she can be educated about why what she did was wrong and maybe there could be a chance at redemption.

I agree that making any derogatory statements about a persons physical characteristics can be harmful, bullying and offensive.
But, I have read your posts here and am struggling to see how you are trying to defend the banana throwing incident. You seem to be employing the tactic of deflection. Most of what you have posted here are simply red herrings.
