3. Huge sections of racist/white-supremacist/anti-immigrant MAGA types raged at Vivek and Elon for this, saying that they should only hire Americans.
4. Vivek and Elon came out and literally said Americans are too dumb and lazy to work. (This is not hyperbole - I will link a Vivek tweet below)
5. Far-right MAGA types then raged at Elon/Vivek as selfish oligarch billionaires who only want cheap labor, and that they aren't "real MAGA"

This is a good thing.

The trouble with the attitude of alot of people is that when an opportunity like this presents itself all the culture war shit they've engaged in makes it impossible to build any bridges with these people.

Most of them aren't actually racist, sexually normative arseholes, they're just struggling to deal with a world that changes faster than they can process while being ****ed over by the capitalist establishment in the US (that owns both parties.) As a result they're vulnerable to propaganda that scapegoats people.

All the personal vitriol people have sent their way over the last decade will make it very difficult for them to find any common ground with left wing movements that fight for workers rights when this sort of opportunity that was always gonna present itself comes up.

Have you ever been in a riot, huge brawl or street fight with multiple people etc etc? Its like playing contested footy but can last half an hour without a break. Sometimes people have dangerous weapons. Its intense and is a young person's game.

Those people are nasty, dangerous campaigners and while they spend most of their time targeting other Nazis in territory and demarcation fights, if they can identify you there is a chance they will target you. You are an easy person to identify and target given you don't hide your identity, flag where you will be and are often out with your kids (this makes you even more vulnerable.) Some racist gangs have proper hierarchies, patches and all sorts of other shit (like engagement in criminal activity) that makes them more organised than you might think.
