remember how i was asking about the knocking sound in my ford territory. ended up being the front bushes. 1.5k. also apparently the power steering rack was ******. 1.1k.

ouch.

Been there.
Had a AWD Turbo. Had to replace front and back, cost 2.5K on the AWD. Also put an adjustable camber kit on the front for better alignment and less tyre wear. '
So finally got it sorted, great car with only 120K on the clock.

Apex gang stole and smashed it.

I really enjoy listening to ABC Radio for the football: pre match, match commentary and post match. Often don’t bother with the vision.
I can get my pre match via ABC Listen, after that I need to switch to the AFL app to listen, and of course I have no access (or have not found it) for the post match.
The alternative is sitting in my car for four hours.
Which I could do but the view inside my garage is lousy.
Will buying a DAB Radio give me the same experience as my car?
Four hours of uninterrupted football?

My mum has a DAB that's good. I have a DAB tuner at home and it still drops out all the time. It's annoying as ****, you think it's off then all of a sudden it will be on and randomly start again when it gets a little bit of signal. They don't have the crackle like old school radios but they can still be temperamental.

I will preface that this is based off the radio we produce which has DAB+ capacity.

There's a lot of interference and DAB just isn't as big a thing in Australia so you will generally have packet loss if you're talking about wide scale movement the further you move from "society" into "nature" and elevation. If you're in an area where DAB is prominent, and you're in an elevated centre you should be fine, but say you have your car radio + phone + sat nav + low elevation + travel between suburbs + flight paths, you will notice deterioration in the signal and potential loss of signal entirely.

Generally what I've found works is actually radioapp on the phone which can pick up DAB stations, primarily as metro stations usually drop out around Seymour in VIC, however we've used this and it's been going strong on trips up to about Wang, primarily because national carriers piggyback more than dedicated metro stations do, they actually partner with sister stations in regional centres.

So it's also more what you know works in the area you know you'll be in as to what sort of signal or radio you'd then hear.

I know they're only practice games but it's always good to see Essendon get smashed.

A USB........ I travel frequently up into the country to visit family, stay at mums who doesn't have internet. I usually stay about a week at a time so put approx $30-40 on the USB and it does me just fine, no probs at all. Of course, depending on your usage of the laptop you might need more for a 3wk stay.

It is so easy and simple. I use Telstra and they set it up for me in-store ready to go, but I don't know if this will be suitable for you.

Hope this has helped in some way, good luck.

If you have a decent amount of data on your phone plan just go through settings and use the personal hotspot. It works like Macmums USB device that connects to a network anyway. Call your provider and get extra data for the month you are away even.

question - I'm heading to Perth on monday for 3 weeks - require internet for laptop - any idea which are the best options
Yeah , wait a year or two until we get the internet. Seriously , what did you do wrong to get sent here for 3 weeks ? If you are here to build the Winmar statue , raise his arm a bit , so it looks like he is flipping the bird , (for Eagles and Dockers supporters walking past ) please.

Its amazing how the eagles have one more flags than us , but our players have more of a aura about them - Lockett , Winmar , Ditterich.

Yeah you won't find our champions on Canning Highway , or any highway , cleaning your car windows , so that helps with the aura thing , but I think we have won 1 more premiership than the Eagles and Dockers combined , if you don't count the flags with steroid or drug rumours attached.
