Not a bad player but a genuine receiver.

reflected by the fact he led our hard ball gets in his first year with us ... yea yea, that was 0 as Carlton don't get the hard ball etc etc

A tad weak defensively and has a tendency to get shut down completely by taggers.

I'm not sure, that's why I asked!

I don't worry too much about Nick these days but this was pretty funny at the time. This was his first game for Carlton against us.

Check out Michael Wilson waiting to pounce....The commentators sum it up perfectly.

In the entire context of the game though, it didn't really matter. But I've seen far more embarrassing moments from better players.

Bit harsh on those two, particuarly the latter - Campo was an All-Aus in 00. Others I agree with.

Nick Stevens is a very good footballer, who shines in better teams. Great skills and runs the lines.

Port's loss. Fantastic PSD choice for the Blues. When he takes over as Captain, will he be the first PSD Captain in the competition?

Good player, but not great. Gets shut down in pressure games when forced to be a ball getter (see any Port finals 2001-2003).

Is one of the best receivers going around and if was in a side with a couple of genuine in and under players so he didn't have to play that role would cut a lot more sides to pieces. I don't like him for his attitude or the way he backstabbed Port, but a lot of the criticism comes from him being used in the wrong role. This happened both at Port and now at the Blues.

Unfortunately (for him) at the Blues he'll be stuck having to be a ball winner - or for that matter at Collingwood if he gets his wish and goes there.
