Great skills on either side, cheeky player, loves to do the unpredictable, kicks some of the more 'clever' goals. Should go into the midfield in 2006, as he was a star in that position for the Port Magpies at a young age.

Expecting big things in 2006.

That game got you into the finals race did'nt it?

C'mon Ricketts, don't be mean to Didak. Just because he ripped Geelong apart doesn't mean you have to be hostile towards him.

Where did you guys finish on the ladder?

This guy is a scum bag. Totally agree with the title of the thread. He is a little germ in the football world, with saying that he does have good skills and can clearly turn a game. I would still not have him in a Geelong Jumper.

He is one of the few remaining dirty players.

One of my most hater players. He is just behind Jeff Farmer.

Ah, ya gotta love those players that generally underperform all year but put in a blinder against your team. Another one for the Cats is that Leigh Harding of the Kangaroos. Seems to bob up every time we play them with a good game.

DOH

slow, unaccountable outside player without an engine but with good kicking skills...pass

His body will never be able to withstand the rigours of playing in the midfield.

A poor mans Stuart Dew

Soft player who is a great opportunist but not as good as Nick Stevens.

I will admit I had exactly the same opinion after the 2003 Gf and could not believe we gave up the chance to get stevens ahead of him I was as mad as hell with his Soft efforts that day . But my opinion is starting to change. He has learnt to put his body on the line (see broken jaw against geelong in 2004 when backed into player)
He has had some really unlucky setbacks but whenever he came into the side this year showed he had improved in leaps and bounds and made a real difference .
I think Stevens is definately a better player at the moment but will never be a game breaker which is something Didak was on more than one occassion this year. Mark Williams was right on the money when he said Stevens gets lots of easy kicks accross half back.
Time will tell but I think he may prove quite a few people wrong in the next few years.

And god help him if he dosn't have a better career then Stuart(1 good game every 5 weeks)Dew

I think it is only ignorant Collingwood haters that dont rate him mate.

Absolute gun of footballer, i wish we could get him at North so we could dispose of Thurley and Harding.

Exactly, people are pathetic, if a player is good i will rate him, don't let your hatorade get in the way. One of the classiest players in the league (skills wise) and will do some serious damage to the brownlow count if he can a) get over his chronic knee soreness b) get a serious pre season in c) play all year.

When Didak was fit last year Collingwood won games. When he was out they didn’t. This year will be decisive for him. A good pre season and no excuses. I think he will shut a few up but he has it all to do yet, like a few of his team mates.

As for Stevens, well I know who won more games for their club last year and that was from limited opportunities. I was never interested in the Stevens deal and have not wished we made the trade since. I doubt we’d have won a single extra game with Stevens in our midfield. I know we have won games due to Didak on one leg in the forward line.
