Its not a good sign if everyone knows who you support from your team
Rockliff, Zorko and Beams are the ones I think are really good pciks
Hanley Is one of the best options for a premo defender aswell. I may seem biased, but all the lions players I selected are worthy of a spot imo

Can someone aware me on fuller?
23 year old half back flanker from Norwood in SA. Has a booming left foot kick and seems to have been recruited to take kickouts for the Dogs. Additionally he's decent at winning his own ball and is quite good overhead - he's a born scorer and could be Goodes mk. II for fantasy coaches.

Now for the negatives - he's no guarantee to get a game in the early rounds. Our coach has said not long ago that Crameri is likely the only recruit that will be ready to go round 1, and has also said that Daniel Pearce - who plays a similar role - is starting to knock on the door of the best 22. Bob Murphy is an automatic pick, which leaves Fuller competing with Pearce, Young, Picken, Wood, Darley, Tutt, Johannisen, Goodes and Howard for what is probably 2-4 spots maximum. Johannisen is a lock, but past there it's not easy to pick who's in and who isn't.

In my personal opinion he'll play sooner rather than later, but it likely won't be round 1. However at his price, his scoring potential is quite high, and he's guaranteed to get games at some point.

If he were a midfielder I'd probably say look for a more reliable rookie (as I expect there to be quite a few high scoring midfield rookies this year), but as a defender, there isn't many other options that represent the potential value Fuller does, in my opinion. Watch the NAB Challenge before you make up your mind, of course, but for now I have him as a very good D7/8.

Thanks Dan awesome post. Will put him in there now as a place holder

About 2k left over. I've gone with the strategy of looking for cheap value in the mids so I can stack the forward and back lines with the many underpriced premiums available this season, and hoping to upgrade those cheapies to fallen premium mids later in the season.

A few points:
  • Seeds is injured, will probably miss the start of the season and will take a while to reach 100% even if he doesn't.
  • You've got more money sitting on your bench than I'd like if I was you. Maybe worth considering downgrading a Garlett or Longer to use the money on your best 22. I wouldn't be spending that much on Boyd or Sheed either personally.
  • Wingard worries me. SURELY opposition coaches will finally catch on and start tagging him this year. Could lead to a downturn in scores on last year's high standard.

Thoughts? No doubt will change a lot round 1 once rooks are known. i know some people will question the R.Shaw, but its either him or Kardashian and Shaw is guarenteed games and to make dosh.

C.Howard?

For starters, he's just not very good. He has shown very few AFL qualities, and even in the VFL he's been underwhelming at best. He was drafted as a hard running midfielder with a booming left foot - unfortunately he doesn't seem to have the football nous to break free and get himself into space, nor has he shown anything resembling a good kick apart from in very rare patches. A huge majority of the Dogs board are surprised he was retained, let alone being close to getting a regular game.

Secondly, he starts the season behind a whole raft of players. Bob Murphy, Jason Johannisen, Tom Young, Easton Wood, Liam Picken, Brett Goodes, Jason Tutt and perhaps even Daniel Pearce (one to watch but I don't expect him to score too heavily), as well as the touted possibility of Jarrad Grant and Shaun Higgins (when they return) playing down there, and added competition of Fuller and Darley. There is far, far, far too much competition for him to get early games, especially for a player who has shown very little, even at VFL level.

Additionally, he's just had double hip surgery.

He will probably get a couple of games throughout the year as this is definitely his last chance, however, most Bulldogs supporters will be staggered if he's still on the list come next year.

Ruc: M.Lobbe, M.Leuenberger (A.Sandilands, B.Longer)

That's pretty much 4 #1 rucks, bit too much money spent there

I don't think Kornes is the best pick for that price, could even downgrade to Ellis/Thomas and get similar scores

Super consistent but the wrong side of 30. Not likely to improve his scoring, may drop slightly IMO.
Having another super strong preseason and breaking pb's. Nothing at all to show that he will drop in scoring. With Port on the rise you could even see him rise up again to his uber premo days.
While your here, What do you think about Matthew Broadbent.
Quality, but never gets enough of it. Don't see too much changing this year. He won't be getting any extra midfield time.

I am hoping port have risen and will now fall back!;)
