Rate my team for 2010 (cont)

Hi lads, any opinions?

$5,400 left over


Bit of a worry with Cornes and Wonna, I trust their bodies to hold up about as much as I trust an Essendon injury report. I'm thinking very hard about Shaw or Carazzo for Chad but no idea about Wonna.
I don't really like my emergencies in defence or attack this year which doesn't leave me feeling comfortable at all, neither does my lack of cash in the bank.
Thinking hard about Bartel for Ablett too...

As always the backs are the problem. Ladson and Waters are guaranteed games and Hunt isn't a great scorer. I'd suggest downgrading Enright to a mid priced and upgrading one of the three i mentioned. Not too sure how many games J.Trengove and Shepperd will play either...

Midfield looks very solid. Maybe a little overpriced? There is some value in the cheaper mids, and IMO Martin and Trengove could average 70 and find a good

Hille might not be right for round 1, and even if he is, he is a ruckman coming back from a knee reco...he won't be at his best for a while.

Forwards are good except for the last 3. Wona isn't fit, Gumbleton is WAY to injury prone and Tapscott probably won't play for a bit.

I have enjoyed the reading thus far!

I like it, BUT there are some unknown quantities in there that could either surprise or dissapoint. Seaby, Kennelly, Shepperd, Hunt, Henderson... For me, thats a little too much risk

vince could be a risk, as he may get more of a tag this year. Seaby in ruck could be a bit iffy, as he hasnt scored to well in the past, but thats just my thoughts

I like it.......TDL starting is a risk but who knows.....Deledio could be risky as well, personally i think there are better priced options in that range.....if anything, I'd maybe downgrade in the rucks a bit and spice up your midfield........

Jesus your forward line is similar to mine haha. Dw I have McVeigh as well, im fine with one of my rookies starting just for the 1 week. Have Hille as well but I guess you could get nic nat at a similar price if you are unsure, depending on how they perform in NAB cup etc. Least our defence and some of the mids are quite diff

I think Palmer is a risk, had him in mine side untill i started reading how he was travelling.. He is not going to well from all reports, Simon Buckley is a hint or miss i see. Rate him high but very injury prone. Josh Hunt is a big risk, id rather c a rookie on the ground rather then having him. Other then that looks pretty good to my eyes.

Your backline is solid, however im not 100% sure S.Selwood has cememted a spot in the best 22. So he could be a questioned mark.

Midfield looks good, but Palmer is coming off a knee reco and prob be eased back into things.

Rucks are good and a strong forward line!

With the Cats & Saints as Fremantle's round 3 & 4 opponents I would imagine you could consider leaving him to possibly to round 6 to pickup for say a suddenly falling/failing rookie pick?

Thats where i originally had him, but he can swap with pavlich or higgins if need be, so even if I had him as a forward, higgins or pav would be in the middle.

Having Boomer Harvey in the middle, with Roo and Higgins up forward ($15 000 spare)

or

Having Swan in the middle, with J Brown and Robbie Gray up forward ($500 spare)


Im thinking 1st option, as I can sub Harvey with Higgins or Pav in my forwards if need be.

Agree with that. I managed to get 4 backline keepers, which will probably be a common number of keepers.

Yeh swith Goodes into the fowards, Burton is injured. I would also try to trade 1 of ur backline premiums into Kennelly and then upgrade TDL. However keep TDL on ur bench.
