Hey boys,
Just wondering what you guys think of my side? Can you see anywhere i need a boost?

DT10.jpg

I reckon you would get an instant boost if you clicked on the orange "C" under someones name :) may want to click a V and three E's as well :)

ok, a bit of tweaking but let me know what you think...

Backs
Goddard, Enright, Duffield, Hodge, Birchall, Kennelly, Hunt, (Maguire, Trengove)

Rucks

I initially had kennelly, hunt and ladson, but have decided to bring in birchall. do u think that's a smart idea? i'd have had $143k in the bank instead of $300

#35

Backs are pretty good with 4 top players
Mids are pretty sfae with most going Masten or Armitage as 4th choice with the 2 rookies
Rucks - wondering how much McEvoy will play early. I havent seen the Saints side for the NAB GF. If he is in that then he might get early games.
Fwds - 3 4 players that are in my side. Schneider is a unique choice, he will have really good ones and then a poor one so be careful there. Hall is one that I contemplated but he is getting older and not any smarter so I played safe. If he stays out of trouble he will be a good choice.

My side for discussion

B - Enright, Hodge, H.Shaw, Gilbee, S.Thompson, P.Stewart, Hunt (Maguire, Trengrove)
M - Ablett, Boyd, Watson, Armitage, Martin, Barlow (Banner, Shuey)
R - Sandilands, Seaby (Warnock, Skipper)
F - Riewoldt, Pavlich, Gia, Franklin, Gray, Ziebel, Dangerfield (Rockliff, D.Stewart)

SFA in bank.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Backs- Goddard, Carazzo, Hodge, H Shaw, Kennelly, Ladson, J Trengrove (Polak, Davis)

Mids - Bartel, Del Santo, Watson, Robinson, Ball, Martin (Jetta, Shuey)

Rucks - Petrie, Naitanui (Warnock, Skipper)

Forwads - N Reiwoldt, Harvey, Giansiracusa, Franklyn, Ziebel, Hall, Dangerfiled (Podsiadly, Walsh)

Great team, nothing to tear IMO. If you can upgrade Hunt to Ladsen I think he maybe a slightly better pick but that's just nitpicking. What is the story with Lisle? I am currently playing it "safe" with Waters on my bench but do you think Lisle is a viable pick?

Please rate my team;

B:Enright Kelly Hodge H.Shaw Malceski Ladsen Hunt/ Waters Maguire

M:Swan Bartel Selwood Connors Trengove Martin/Barlow Jetta

R:Clark Ryder/Warnock Trengove

F:Higgins Harvey Gia Buddy Gray Ballantyne Dangerfield/Rockliff Hitchcock

16K in the bank

My opinion should be taken with a grain of salt, but here it is:
Not a bad team:thumbsu:
Back-lines rather standard, except for perhaps Waters on the bench. Midfield, i like it as i have also got 3 starting rookies. Rucks are good, but maybe with the addition of Leuenberger and Hille respectively, Clark and Ryders scores maybe drop slightly? Or perhaps not. Forwards are decent, despite not having a 'premium' forward such as Riewoldt. All round a decent team IMO

Here's my team.

I'm worried that I don't have enough keepers. It will take too many trades to upgrade all (or almost all) of my players, as well as account for any injuries.

Also, not sure of which ruckman to pick out of Naitinui, Hille, Ottens, Leuenberger, Seaby, Mumford or McEvoy.

Having Armitage and Masten is killing you.

Downgrade one to a rookie and you'll be able to upgrade a couple of players to keepers.

You can't win from behind people. Your team needs to kick ass from the start.

Win what? The whole thing? Not many have a realistic chance of doing that. Rookie strategy is defintley one that is designed to win the league by coming home with a wet sale.

Last year I made 5 GF's and won only one of them and my ranking went downhill badly. This year I am trying a very different approach.

Yea, but those with rookies will have guys like Hodge as their 6th back and Gia as their 6th forward, while those without will be praying for guys like Hunt, Ladson, Dangerfield and Ziebell to score above 60.

If the rookies like Scully, Trengove, Barlow etc smash it, those with rookies in the midfield will runaway from the pack and never be caught.

Lose Petrie (Suspended for 2 Rounds)
Lose Walsh (Need a better set of emergencies with your forward line)
Downgrade one of Robinson/Ball/Watson and upgrade one of Trengrove/Polak/Davis (As with Walsh)

Yeah assuming they play nearly double the average games first year midfielders play.

If not I think it's zeroes ahoy for you.

I can't agree with you PAFC.

I think the midfields are the most potent scorers and you only get 6 slots worth.

You need to make the most of those 6 slots. Scully, Trengove, Martin and Barlow are not going to get 120+ scores consistantly like the real premiums do.

Yep. I'd consider spending some money on getting a better 7th defender though. Ultimately Hodge, Kennelly & Ladson have bodies that can't be trusted.

I know what you're saying, I just don't think you're seeing the bigger picture, but where would the fun be if we all had the same team :)
