Just looking at my defenders. I have 70K still in the bank.

Goddard Gibbs Deledio Tarrant (Chris) Reid S (Sydney) Otten A Heppell (Toy Cripps Duigan)

Get rid of Chirs Tarrant. He's not a keeper and I can't see him improving his average too much to give you some cash. Downgrade somewhere else (I presume you loaded up elsewhere) and upgrade him to someone like Broughton and upgrade Reid. Otten and Heppell are good selections for the last 2 spots even if they aren't unique.

Ok guys need opinions on this. I think its pretty reasonable.

Defenders: Brett Deledio, Greg Broughton, Corey Enright, Jack Grimes, Jordan Russell, Andy Otten, Dyson Heppell (Cameron Pederson, Paul Puopolo, Nick Duigan)

Midfielders: Chris Judd, Paul Chapman, Lenny Hayes, Aaron Davey, Daniel Kerr, David Swallow (Tendai Mzungu, Jasper Pittard, Michael Hibberd)

Rucks: Aaron Sandilands, Dean Cox (Max Bailey, Robert Campbell)

Forwards: Nick Riewoldt, Lance Franklin, Matthew Pavlich, Adam Goodes, Chris Knights, Drew Petrie, Andrew Krakouer (Dion Prestia, Majak Daw, Jack Darling)

Not sure how many games if any that Pederson and Daw will play considering they are both rookies. Daw especially is still developing.

I believe that Kerr is still struggling with injury? Might want to check that.

Would appreciate some feedback on this team;

Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, H Obrien, Otten, Heppell (Toy, Duigan, Puopolo)

Swan, Chapman, Murphy, Watson, L Anthony, D Swallow (Harris, Atley, Wallis)

Sandilands, Petrie, (Bailey, Smith)

Riewoldt, Didak, Rioli, Varcoe, Krakouer, Prestia, Mzungu, (Richardson, Smith, Callinan)

lol Daniel Kerr? Umm ok. Chuck Chapman in the Fwds and get rid of Goodes who only ever does anything after round 12.
No Goddard? Guess you dont want to come 1st lol.
Other than that you should do well

FYI everyone coming on this forum page and looking at everyone elses team and copying most players will get you nowhere near the cash. You need point of difference (p.o.d) players that noone will pick which will give you the advantage over 95% of the competition.

Majak- not this year
Lenny to make a bigger score than Brendan Goddard this year?

Thanks...yeah only put Taz in this morning with the Brown injury.

Think I may take Broughton

This thread is queer!!!

Dont you all realise you are all competing with each other for the over all prize??? And by doing this thread year after year not only are you effectively helping your "competitions" teams improve but your practically making your players all the same!!!

I have looked at about 3 - 4 pages worth of teams and basically all back lines and ruck divisions are identical oh yeah and half of the forward lines....

U are making supercoach any better by doing this, in fact you are ruining the game by pretty much taking out the unique and individual nature of each teams line up out of the game!!!

Thing that fustrates me is that half of you probably winge about the herald sun for giving out tips all the time making it easy for everyone but you fail to see that you are doing the exact same thing!!!

Who ever the mods are on this forum, next year should ban this rate my teams threads to make it a more fun and unique competition for all of us.

The key to supercoach is trading players - selling them at the highest point and buying when low. Anyone can set up a good team to start with - what happens during the year is most important. Everyone knows D Swallow will play all year, Ottens and Petrie are cheap buys and Sandi, Goddard, Swan and Ablett are expensive beacause they score well.

End of the day 300,000 people will enter and you would be lucky to have 5% read this forum. You can also buy books on it to help and easy to find help on line if you are new. Its a bit of fun which you seem to be struggling to grasp.

Would appreciate some feedback on this team;

Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, H Obrien, Otten, Heppell (Toy, Duigan, Puopolo)

Swan, Chapman, Murphy, Watson, L Anthony, D Swallow (Harris, Atley, Wallis)

Sandilands, Petrie, (Bailey, Smith)

Riewoldt, Didak, Rioli, Varcoe, Krakouer, Prestia, Mzungu, (Richardson, Smith, Callinan)

Backs look Ok. O'Brien's an interesting one. Haven't given him much thought TBH.

Mids seem a bit odd. Not without merit. If you're going to take Chappie, have him fwd. There's more high scoring options in the mids. Remember that Carlton have the bye rd 22. I'm avoiding Carlton players (keepers) generally for that reason. You have two. Anthony and Watson are interesting choices. Do u think Anthony will go bigger thsi year? Watson too? Wallis is not guaranteed to be starting is my info. Could be wrong.

Rucks. Petrie should be playing Fwd as an MPP. He'll be much more value there. You'll need a second ruck though.

Fwds are good but as I said, put chappy fwd and one of your other MPP's in the mids. preferabley a cple of them and cash cows at that. I think Didak is a bit of a risk but could pay off. Will Varcoe finally live up to his hype? I was tempted by him last year when he was coming back but glad I stayed away in the end.

OK guys, here is my 2nd draft.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Grimes, R Murphy, Otten, Heppell
(Coad, Watson, Duigan)

Mids: Hodge, Pendlebury, Watson, Bartel, D Swallow, Gaf
( Polec, D harris, Atley)

Rucks: Sandi, Jolly
(J Tippet, Bailey)

Fwds: Franklin, Pavlich, Sylvia, Higgins, Knights, Petrie, Krakour
(Mzungu, Richardson, Mckernan)

I know the fowards are abit weak and I kind of need some MPP('s) in the Midfield to swap either back or foward:(

I quite like this team.. :thumbsu: Some uniques everywhere, but they're not without risk.

Backs look pretty standard. Bob Murphy has burnt me too many times but perhaps this is the year.

Mids look very unique. Pendles isn't a HUGE scorer but very consistent. Bartel will be interesting this year.

Rucks are strong.

Knights & higgins look interesting. Will Higgins play all year? Gun when right but a bit like Drummond. Worries me if he can keep it up for 22rds.

Just need thoughts on my mids, I have a feeling it is a bit too weak.

K Jack, S Burgoyne, A Cooney, S Sidebottom, T Cotchin, S Higgins, d Swallow, T Mzungu, M Wallis.

I'm banking in big years from the first three

very risky midfield to be honest......

Seems to me like your entire midfield is either on the verge of becoming an absolute gun, or has been one previously. An interesting an different strategy to the ones usually seen in SC, not sure how it would turn out.

Any feedback on my team would be appreciated, have a couple of players not sure about with injuries (eg kerr) and a few uniques.

Defenders:
Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, O'Brien, Otten, Heppell
(Toy, Duigan, Puopolo)

Mids:
Ablett, Selwood, Pendlebury, Foley, Kerr, Harris
(Swallor, Blease, Parker)

Rucks:
Sandilands, Warnock
(Petrie, Charman)

Forwards:
Riewoldt, Franklin, Green, Morton, Krakouer, Kerr, Mzungu
(Matera, Smith, Darling)

Forwardline is the clear weakness atm imo.

Cheers

If you make the Grand Final you lose Watson as Ess have the bye for Grand Final Week. Blues in the prelim. If you are out of trades you may find yourself up against it to win. Take a mid from Melb, Swans, Freo or Bris - these 4 teams play every round of supercoach - you won't have to waste a trade later. Maybe Broughton for Murphy in the backs and K Jack for Watson in the mids. I would back Broughton and Jack to score more points for the year (even if their average is lower).

Maybe Jamar or Mumford for Jolly - all 3 are close $$ but Jamar and Mumford will play every round and you won't need to use one of your bench players - who are weak when Jolly misses 2 games.

DEF: Gibbs, Deledio, Gilbert, J Grimes, Harbrow, Otten, Heppel, Toy, Talia, Duigan

MID: Goddard, Selwood, Pendlebury, Boyd, Cotchin, Swallow, Harris, Atley, Callinan

RUCK: Sandilands, Tippett, Smith, Cambell

FOR: N Reiwoldt, Didak, Rioli, M Morton, Petrie, Krakour, Mzungu, Meckernan, tapscott, Darling

will rate yours if you rate mine cheers

Backs look good. Harbrow is a bit over rated IMO as a SC player.

Interesting mix of mids. I'd still keep Goddard as a back as you have more gun options in the midfield. I've been tempted by Selwood too and had Boyd in my team for a while as well. Cotchin going to improve this year? Isn't Callinan a fwd?

Tippet from Ade in the rucks??? Not a bad strategy. Fwds look good but you have no MPP in the mid to rotate Didak, Krakeour or Mzungu. Worth considering I think. Is Tapscott injured?

Good all round team- like the MPP cover for your rucks.

Strange that you have God in midfield- though I guess you can swap him with Heppell whenever you want.

Re your subs;

Tapscott - keep a close eye on him. If he gets a gig I think he'll score alright and keep his spot in team, but he has been battling injury throughout his short career. If he's not picked round 1 then consider a trade for Calinan, and put Mitch Wallis in midfield bench instead of Calinan.

Campbell - Also injured- no guarantee he will play early on. I would consider Max Bailey as well, whoever looks like playing round 1 go for them.

FWD: Chapman, N Reiwoldt, Franklin, Goodes, Higgins, C Knights, Mzungu, Matera, I Smith, Calinan

Back 7 may be subbed for Toy depending on who's playing.

Mid 6 & 7 may be subbed for Harris or Swallow instead depending on who's playing.

Needs work but this is the basic outline atm. 174K spare cash to improve. Thoughts?

Interesting having 2 demons in the midfield

Interesting having 2 demons in the midfield

I know- big bias affecting that one. One of those two is going to be an inspired pick, but I'm not sure which one. Sylvia as many others have mentioned is ready for a big year, but so is Davey. Davey at 385 is great value...

In any case by round 10 I would expect I would only have 1 of those 2, and that the other would've been upgraded to a top shelf premium...
