Rate the trade for both WCE and Carlton

Carlton have basically received Judd for pick 3 and have also received Kreuzer for Kennedy and pick 20.
Ridiculously lop-sided.
Don't think Carlton Screwed you to be honest, they had all the advantage.

Carlton will only have won this trade if Judd wins a flag at the Blues. No other way to see it, given what has been given up in the trade, and the amount to be paid in salary.

If Pelchen was involved it would of been a straight swap with his obsession Thornton
Cotchin or Masten / a 10 year player in a position the Eagles have always struggled if Kennedy lives up to promise / Alex Rance or Bellchambers to slide to 20 and give us the 2nd best ruck in the draft or a 194cm defender son of a former captain.

I think Carlton got screwed and the Eagles are probably laughing.
OK, maybe not screwed, but I dont think Carlton are that much better off. Judd is now injured and should be better next season, but is still only one player and without the discipline from the rest of the Carlton midfield to illegally block Judd's oponent out of the way all the of time he will never be as effective as he was at the egirls.
So the Blues have pick 1 and Judd. But the egirls have picks 3, 14 and 20 (plus 18 from Richmond more than likely) and Kennedy, thats a good place to be for a team that can still pack a punch in the comp next year, whilst being well placed to bring in some young talent for the future.
I think in the long term, say over the next 5 years, it will be clear that the egirls have unfortunately won the deal.

However it's not family reasons he wants to come home, even though he's fobbed everyone off with that as his reasons. He's escaping the drug culture at WCE. Simple. Everyone else won't toe the line over there, Judd has finally had enough and wants out.
Hopefully the Mainwaring incident will pull their heads in.
The only winner BK is Judd Himself... Got Home, and is going to get pleanty of Mullah!!!!!
WCE will move on, Takes more than one superstar to win Flags, Think you guys will be ok for a few more seasons!, Carlton will have to wait a few more seasons until the kids get some more game time and experience to take the heat off Judd...
Judd will get the heavy tag week in week out now, so it will def be harder for him, But as he is an exceptional footballer i'm sure he will deal with it...
Can only hope some good will come from the tradedgy! your right.

Spot on mate...held the Eagles to ransom and we could actually have been reamed really badly thanks to him. For all Carlton fans are dancing in the streets now, and he is certainly a sensational footballer, how popular a bloke was Kennedy, how many players are looking at their own next deal in the wake of Judd's salary, for a gaurantee they have given away a potential superstar in a difficult position and a high pick......Judd will imrpove Carlton in Round 1 next year, long term, who knows if this deal was good even for the Blues.

Where Carlton may have erred is in his contract. In my opinion, no one player is worth the wage they are giving to Chris Judd. Can't see them going all the way with such a large proportion of the cap going to one guy. But they will improve.
The big winner? Chri$ Judd. Will be a rich man for life.

Carlton did really well in this deal
But in saying that believe Kennedy will turn into a top players for WCE....

We've done very well out of this draft.
We've gained a good key position player in Kennedy, and got a gun midfielder to replace Juddy ( who we all know was only any good becuase kerr and cox got the ball for him ) in the next few years.
Dont know if people from over east know, but we've also got a young kid by the name of Jamie Mcnamara who is the new kerr. Deadset gun. ( Also dont forget Priddis and Hurn......and Also Rosa )
