I may be wrong but I reckon Stephen Hill was always left off the chain on the wing against a Brad Scott coached team at Norf and racked up great numbers.

Looks like Liam Henry was given similar room tonight.

Who's the poster that posts the age breakdown? Put it up.

And keep it in mind when we shit the bed in 2-4 weeks. We are bloody young.

Off loading pea hearts like Lobb and Acres is going to be such a positive long term. There will be some short term set backs but it seems like we are building a complete list.

Great to see Henry have a breakout after we gave up pick 9 for him.

(No we didn't, it's a stupid reference point.)

That's more like it, Henry.

No he wasn't. He made one error in the last quarter. The rest was excellent. Ground balls much better, didn't fumble , double handle (triple handle). Helped out the big guys. Gave support at the fall.
Took a great grab in the last Qtr as well. Someone needs to tell him he’s allowed to just drop the ball as he’s not going to get pinged for HTB if he doesn’t have it.

Good to be back on the winners list. Still not at the same standard pre bye, but they got it done. Next week will be a good test against the dogs who cut us up early in the season.

Shows importance of the Darcy & Jackson combo. Not only with ruck situation but overall maintaining our structure and field position around the ground, which can happen when we lose the clearance/ stoppages.

Next week will be a crucial game lol

People also underrate his pace. Over 10m he would be close to the fastest player in the competition. He routinely catches up to guys who got out the back or are on a fast break and pressured them. Love watching him play on guys like Cameron who think they are fast. Until they get dragged down when they think they are clear.

What doesnt help naysayers is just dumping on him regardless of how he plays
case in point I sat next to someone who was having a mental breakdown every time he had the ball throughout the game, not sure what some people were watching

I went off Henry completely after his start to the year but man he was so good today. The Essendon fans around me were traumatised every time he got the ball.

Also side note, I wonder how many touches Ryan <—> Henry had. They were playing kick to kick at times

I'm ultra patient compared to most but he was really getting to last chance station...

But what really pissed me off was after last week where anybody with some objectivity could see he was actually showing some of that potential finally being put together on the field there was still calls to just drop him straight away!
I think the coaches rate him and also aware he's learning a new role this year. Looked really proficient at the wing role in the preseason scratchies and he's had solid form in the WAFL when sent back there possibly for his confidence and development. His form has been solidly building since his return.

Not a great game by Darcy, but a few weeks off I thought it would take him some time. He let Phillip jump on him a bit and was trailing him around the ground.
Few switched off moments too. Didn’t get to the line for the ball Ryan almost touched (Darcy easy touches that shot) and went to go off the ground when there was a ball up and Jackson nowhere near.
But the big Ruck Dawg will be fine.

Johnson great
Henry best game for the club by far
Shultz still out of form
Fyfe has some great moments mixed with bad

All in all, solid win. Great rebound from last week

That's exactly what happened. Martin ran off where he wanted and both sides moved the ball through their loose wing as much as possible.

It made a reasonable change from the early first where Fyfe's opponent at the stoppage got involved and ran off without him chasing and the in open play he didn't put on a chase on the man closest to him and that guy always got used moving it forward for them.

Amiss is a gun. Darcy is highly influential. Jackson is great. Schultz hard working
