I don't know if it is the review or what but they certainly have lifted these last 2 weeks when it looked all but a forgone conclusion we would fade away not winning another game before teague was booted.

I said a few weeks ago keep persisting with Dow you can see the improvement is coming and tonight he showed it, just needs a bigger tank to do it for longer. He was the difference early
Barker out,Kennedy and Dow in and they both had a great two weeks. Coincidence much?

If we have to have low possession players out there just for reasons of 'structure' then we'll never get past the middle of the ladder.

Structure is really important. Harry would’ve had an even harder time without Cas. JSOS flourished.

Casboult is not ideal in his current age and mobility but having someone his size, with his hands and rucking ability (albeit limited) is a must.

DT’s press conferences are much of the same win or lose. Doesn’t give much away. It’s good that he acknowledged we still have plenty to work on.

Geelong will be tough but not impossible.
So long as the boys don't start drinking their own bathwater with the media sure to be blowing smoke up their arses!

Really have to do something about our clearances, been really bad last 2 week.

The positive, last 2 weeks we have taken over 100 marks and it is noticeable that we are trying to hit up more shorter targets/control the pill

Inside 50 entries were so much nicer today. Sprinkled in some long bombs but plenty of lowering of the eyes. Dow’s hit up in the 1Q was especially impressive. As we all know in the past that kick would have sailed 5m over the leading player’s head.

Who needs Freddy Krueger when you have memories of O’Shea turnovers and kicking the ball out on the full.
O'Shea gives Freddy Kreuger nightmares.

Dows kicking excellent again. A new man.

Defensive structures are poor and still need a lot of work..

But...
How good is it actually having a midfield that actually clicks and works together...
Walsh, Dow, Cripps, Kennedy, SPS, Curnow, fogarty & Newnes all worked great together tonight
and the best thing they lowered their eyes going forward and connected with our forwards...

hallelujah!!!

I was and still probably am against Levi being brought back in, but if he wasn’t playing in that last quarter, we lose. Jones had 2 absolute shockers that gave up goals, but was otherwise excellent. I often feel I’m too negative about this team I love, but you are on a whole other level.

Let's play devil's advocate...

If Levi wasn't playing for the first 3 quarters, would Freo have even got a sniff tonight?

Good to see him lift though, credit where it's due. That kick where the ball slipped out of his hands and he lunged at it with his boot had me in stitches... I haven't seen that since watching under 9's games...

Tonight shows to me with Martin able to play third tall the way silvagni worked that last half Mcgovern needs another position as he would never work like that -- if your running Charlie and Mackay you need work rate behind them let Martin be X factor or drop Martin play mcgovern

same.
almost like he was handcuffed to a pole!

Cripps sole captain NOW

Maybe, but given how many medical and health setbacks Docherty has faced, it wouldn't sit right with me if we stripped him of the captaincy.

Just my opinion, but I feel like we shouldn't force Doc into relinquishing the captaincy.
