"Jordan Lisle Jordy kicked a bagful (five goals). He was too strong for the opposition in the air and took some great marks. He was clever in the way he out-smarted his defender in terms of positioning, creating space for himself."

Lisle should be pressing for selection in the Seniors this week. Clearly he is the "form" tall forward on our list.

;)
He can kick a bag in the NEAFL. We know.

BRISBANE LIONS
INJURIES
Tom Cutler (groin) test

Patrick Wearden (quad) 1 week
Brent Moloney (Achilles) retired
Jack Redden (ankle) season
Daniel Rich (knee) season
Brent Staker (foot) season
Trent West (knee) season
Luke McGuane (knee) season

ON THE BLOCK: Coach Justin Leppitsch said his men were bullied against the Crows. So does ‘Leppa’ give those who copped the brunt of that bullying the axe or persist for another week? Youngster Jonathan Freeman and Michael Close were quiet while Justin Clarke was subbed out at half-time after having no influence.

ON THE CUSP: Matthew Leunberger played in the NEAFL again and was among the best in the Lions’ big win over Southport. Surely he earns a recall against Collingwood? Ryan Lester and James Polkinghorne both impressed — as did rookies Zac O’Brien and Nick Hayes.

BEN BROAD’S FORECAST: The Lions had been good for a month ... before Sunday’s disappointing rout at the hands of the Crows. Perhaps this long season is catching up with the young Lions? And the hard end to the season only gets harder over the final three weeks of the season, with closing matches against Collingwood, Fremantle and Geelong. Sit back and enjoy watching the kids develop, Lions fans

Straight away, Cutler and Polks are both out for the season so they failed there. Justin Clarke had kept Taylor Walker quiet, despite his stats in the game showing no touches etc. Soon as we lost Clarke Walker began dominating. Polks impressed but he wont be recaled after being out injured.

Fantastic research there.

When posting the link on the previous page yesterday, made the same comment.

Had hotel booked for this but thankfully not going cos my boys went up to qld for 2 weeks . the thought of a freezing melb night surrounded by the great unwashed doesn't really appeal. so hotel goes to missus and daughter. is it on telly? we won't win but I'm still happy. house to myself this weekend...I might even have a sleep in. love livin' life on the edge.

Time to move on pal.

Not really fair since this is the first chance we've have to see him in action against us. It's always going to bring out some quips, especially when the Collywobble supporter started by suggesting Hanley would play on him.

It really does beg the question.. are you Momma Karnezis? o_O :D

Leuey looked stuffed by the final quarter, and not moving great.
Lisle kicked 5 goals, but provided little else for the other 115minutes.*

*Maybe an exaggeration

I wouldn't be playing either.

I look forward to eventually doing the reverse and seeing a home game at the Gabba!! haven't made it up since the merge in '97. Will look to do a week where we play home two games in a row (or away to Gold Coast then home) and catch 2 games in 8 days with the rest on the beach. Just need to make sure I avoid school holidays!

have been to a few interstate games in Adelaide as my sister and only niece/nephew are over there so makes sense to coordinate travel times - although not this year so missed Adelaide Oval.

otherwise I've only been to AFL at Melbourne venues (including thankfully our 4 GF's in front of full houses at the G). Also just old enough to have done some of the suburban grounds including Princes Park, Western Oval, Moorabbin, Waverley, Cardinia Park, Victoria Park, (not old enough to have gone to Glenferrie, Punt Road, Arden Street, Windy Hill or the other venues like Junction Oval that finished up even earlier).

I live near Vic Park and go to watch Collingwood Reserves (Free addmitance) occasionaly. Last week was Essendon v Collingwood (with Grundy, Bellchambers, Karnezis, Luke Ball and a few other handy experienced AFL players on show).

I reckon the club should organise to play Collingwood in Fitzroy guernseys at Vic Park in one of the pre-season games next year. Would be awesome!

(edit - sorry for taking this thread away from the actual game)

I will be in the MCC reserve, I will wave to the peasants in the outer if requested.
The peasants will be giving you the finger without invitation ;)
