It May seem that way, they had to get rid of the money launderers. Great kids now coming back to the club so culture will be huge. They May need a few years to get some backing back but rest assured they will be back

I'm with you mate, mine was more the $$$ reference - I certainly wasn't commenting on the culture bit because you don't do what they've done without a dash of something more than good financial backing.

I agree with you both. From what I know they won their premierships without being the highest spending club. Romsey won them with astute recruiting and a great coaching panel. Not all players play for the highest bidder..

From the comment above you seem to be saying that the players that are at Broadford now are only there for the cash.
Im sure after the season they had in 2015, maybe the group can smell success.

good on Broadford, coin is without question the major reason they travel up the highway. Someone is going to be spending up large so it might as well be them, hope they win it,two years ago they wanted out as it appeared to get too hard however they have rolled their sleeves up got their hands dirty and look to have turned their fortunes around.

The only thing the football world can listen to on this forum is a person with lower respect than a snakes belly a person who has driven plenty of clubs to nowhere and has nothing in the tank but bullshit and typing behind the keyboard like a warrior! It is upsetting that the success of others becomes the jealously of others who cannot succeed in the football world! Hopefully this over opinionated idiot puts a sock in it sooner rather than later the "gossip queen goodnight"

Spot on there has been a lot of hard work done but sustainability is a big factor at any club and to get that flag you gotta spend today and be prepared to stick fat to clean up the carnage later
look at other comps wrfl deer park edfl abbers Pascoe vale etc div 2 craigeburn go thru any comp the top two or three are all money spenders this is why the point and salary cap systems have arrived
Will say this as I have said in the past yes blame can go onto clubs and admin for allowing the dollars to be spent but there has to be something said about the greed of some of the players dealing with guys ten years ago compared to today some have more front then Myers

I have to agree partly with barfly the club has a lot of good supporters and back early in the mark Pederson days the club didn't spend as much and had a good direction
not as they did in the past two seasons money spent was ridiculous and there is a lot more reasons why people left and it's not worth discussing as we have been through this crap before
I'm sure the new crew are rebuilding and it seems there direction is youth
Every club has good supporters and great volunteers, and I'm sure the culture was great in years gone by as you said, but a good culture will keep the players returning and playing for Unders, bringing more mates in and playing for next to nothing, local boys staying at the club.. etc.. And that's over an extended period of time.. Not just for 3 or 4 years when the $$$ is there. That's not culture. And as soon as the $$ is gone so is everyone..
If youth is their path now then that's great.. A new culture is starting..
