also heard from a guy who works with chris meacham that sunbury roos are to get his services next season as 2s coach and playing full forward in the 1s. huge pick up for them. also he says expect former player dean helmers to be given the senior coaching position in 2010. the same BIG source also tells me sunbury are pretty keen on getting the premiership house brothers back to the club also.
remember you heard it here first............. watch this space.

Also heard the Meacham one. Also heard the Kangaroos are after, or may have even got L.Walker from Rockbank, which would leave a rather large hole down at Rockbank. Doubt the House brothers will ever be back at the Kangaroos.

Let the rumours begin....

signed sealed and delivered !
i was told that he was chased reasonably hard as they wanted someone who would mould their younger players into senoir start ups and they saw him as their ideal man.
have to admit it will be strange seeing him in bulldog colours, but he is there to do a job and im sure he will do it well

Mould the younger player's into what ?, plus did'nt like to push the younger guy's up to Senior team from what I have seen.

Have heard the roos have made a significant offer to Simon Clarke from Sandringham, but looks as if he will be signing up with Sunbury in the Ballarat Football League

I didn't realise the Abu Dabi group had also invested into Sunbury Kangaroos as well as Manchester City? All these supposed signings they are going to need some serious coin.

The Lancefield Football/Netball Club is a succesful family club affiliated in the Riddell District Football League. Season 2009 saw the club return to the top, with the senior team taking out the premiership.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for season 2010 in the following positions:

Applications close Friday October 9, 2009.

Anybody with interest PM me for more details, or email the club at info@lancefieldfc.org.au

Geez, the Roos must have won the lotto with amount of players they're meant to be chasing already. Better get in early if your a wanted player or you might only get bottom dollar. :D

anyone silly enuf to beleive the garbage going around on this thread at the moment need to have a long hard look at themselves.lol.
the two blokes posting under 6 different names on here are quite misinformed it seems.sunbury kangaroos have not decided on their coaches yet, letalone recruits.

Pretty sure everyone on here pal is well aware that the rumours are just that....rumours.
Hence the reason its called "silly" season"
look bacK a couple of pages and it was a sunbury person who said and i quote " let the silly season begin".
He doesnt seem to upset by it.
Were you not running at least 5 different usernames at last count ?

Hi All

On the VAFA forum there is a discussion about Assumption College old boys having a senior team based in Kilmore. Does anyone know anything about this ? Also how does everything think it will affect Kilmore firstly and Wallan and Broadford indirectly if it does get up ? As I remember years ago Kilmore used to get some boarders to play with their Under 18 side when they didn't have school footy. So would this derail Kilmores 18's again

Cheers,
RFS

If it is true it would have to be the old boys team, and then it would mean it wouldn't detract from the Under 18 side but drag players from the Senior/Reserve one.
I wouldn't think it would fly given that they would struggle to get the players locally to support it. If it was based in the city, I think it might be a winner though. Look at Rupertswood in the VAFA, they continue to get promoted.

Kilmore Football Netball Club B&F last night:
Winner: Guy Booker
Runner Up: Linton Kemp

Reserves:
Jono Saunders (also won the RDFL Reserves Medal)

Under 18:
Tommy Snaith

Greame Kurzman was giving life membership. You may recall he's our umpires escort who lost his house in the bushfires this year.

Talking at the moment with a couple of former of rdfl guns in climas and petran. The boys are keen on a joint coaching venture and have applied for the rockbank rams job.
Apparently they have the job sewn up thery have lancefield premiership player brian ruffell signed up and are in talks with damien houlihan and a big chance of landing him.
Rams to surge in 2010.
P. S petty signed on for a free deluxe van equiped with power and free reighn of the women of the park
