Talking at the moment with a couple of former of rdfl guns in climas and petran. The boys are keen on a joint coaching venture and have applied for the rockbank rams job.
Apparently they have the job sewn up thery have lancefield premiership player brian ruffell signed up and are in talks with damien houlihan and a big chance of landing him.
Rams to surge in 2010.
P. S petty signed on for a free deluxe van equiped with power and free reighn of the women of the park

Ha, ha, ha... Houlihan should be ready to play for under 4 figures a game these days. His value dropped massively this year, looked slow and lazy. Age catches up with everyone i spose but reckon his ego will see him still asking big coin....

Any news out of Diggers about a 2010 coach? We have all been led to believe that this year was to be the last year for Hopkins, has anybody heard any names being thrown around. Or have they come to an arrangement to stay together.

He signed weeks ago... Old news...

Good to see from the Burra, belief in the process and support from the committee... No one working in the background to leverage people out...

Any news out of Sunbury as far as the coaching situation? rumours circling that a new coach was appointed last night, with Dean Helmers given the senior role for 2010 and 2011.

Correct, good luck to Deano :thumbsu:

I just hope that he receives the full support of the committee and doesn't have to deal with backstabbing and lack of support from some members.. Dean deserves to be given a crack at coaching the team rather than have to deal with people standing behind the scenes that believe they know something but instead will run about whining that they dont think things are right, so everyone else is wrong...

Playing or non playing coach??

Playing or non playing coach??

Will Dixon still be involved or did he step aside? will they keep all of there players from this year

Will helmers bring recruits with him? i reckon he would having played at a high level in the past some good contatcs.

Any other Votes count results? Any other coaching moves or retirements?
would Chote from Lanny retire with a flag or go again?

Choate has retired.

I heard something the other day that the grubs or one of them are going back to Macedon??
Any truth??

Also heard the Meacham one. Also heard the Kangaroos are after, or may have even got L.Walker from Rockbank, which would leave a rather large hole down at Rockbank. Doubt the House brothers will ever be back at the Kangaroos.

Let the rumours begin....

Walker chasing that flag before retirement, not sure he'll get it at Sunbury.

Also hear Krul may be heading to Woodend depending on where he's stationed with the cops.

Dave Innella has retired but may put the boots on for a side with better foot skills and forward delivery :D

3 Significant losses for the rams

krul would be a very handy pick up for the hawks..

This has to hurt the hearts of Rockbank locals with their club making significant improvements and gains in 2009 only to have to go back to the drawing board and start all over again.

Just get the feeling, only a week after the seasons finished that 2010 there could be a long and winding road ahead for the Rockbank.

heard today that lancefield may be without there champion goal kicker next year.
after a weekend up at mulwala (where the big man showed the towns people who was boss on the dancefloor), he is seriously considering offering his services for free drink cards at the ski club
