An elite sports performance coach says he’s lucky to be alive after having his head stomped on in a vicious, unprovoked bashing outside the popular nightspot.

People involved in professional sports really need to learn to stay away from the Hip-E Club.

I wouldn't have thought Leederville was quite far enough west to fall into the Freo police jurisdiction, but maybe it's based on the seriousness of the crime (e.g. serious enough for a main police station to investigate but not serious enough for HQ).

He's got potential but I'm not sure he'll ever be able to put on the bulk required to compete at AFL level.

I'm hoping for Jack Watts, he's a guaranteed 200+ game star and I don't think Kennedy has shown anything to suggest he'll be able to carry a forward line. Thank Christ we got Masten out of the trade otherwise the whole thing would have been a disaster!

So about a month ago my kids come to me and ask for a Nintendo Switch, I reply "if you pay for half of it, I'll get you one".

The following morning at 6am there's 2 smiling little shits holding $200* in their money boxes next to my bed asking what time we'll get it.

So it's today, I've bought the OLED, a second set of Joy-cons, 4 games: daughter - Animal Crossing, son - Mariokart 8, wife - Just Dance 2022 and dear old broke-arse dad - Mario Odyssey and down just short of $800** despite the sales.

Considering I've had every Nintendo system (apart from the original Gameboy) and preferred Playstation for the past few years, I'm looking forward to getting back amongst some easy gaming.

*Daughter has a job delivering papers and won a raffle at the local pub and shared it with her brother

**I'm well aware that $200 isn’t half of the expenditure, but it's more than I ever put in for consoles when I was a kid.

Long committed to this actually. Have already told both of them will match $ for $ on their first car. I hate engines, but my son (6) loves cars and has told me he's going to start saving for his first car now and has said he wants an electric Jeep for his first car. I dunno exactly if that's possible but we'll see how we go.
