Can definitely see the positive affects on the reefs at my local beaches over here.
I wasn't affected by the shut down at all and actually really liked it, FA people/tourists around was so good, empty beaches and empty roads.
But it was horrible to see others loose their businesses and the long lines of people each arvo at the temples and other places where food was being distributed.

I’ve been with the same girl since I was a wee rookie poster - but I’m told through the grapevine Tinder don’t let people send photos anymore - on one hand it prevents a wall of eggplants - on the other it does send people to other mediums.

Which is how the above happens.

Slightly less sinister but 100% amusing - my dad is the family’s resident computer fixing whiz
One day around ten years ago he was asked to fix his brother in law’s computer - not uncommon at all.

Pretty standard stuff - outdated hardware, filled with malware and viruses from too many adult happy fun time websites.

Unfortunately there were viruses in the image folders - not super common I believe.

I know my dad has photos on our family computer of the family dog who recently passed (remember Snoopy?)and photos of us camping he’d rather not lose - as well as the photos of his beloved ‘84 Land Cruiser - so he did what he thought was the best thing and went into the file to save what he could of my uncles photos thinking he’d find similar.

Nah. He copped some graphic photos of my uncle playing with his Johnson. His face when he found them - I was home at the time - he ran in his bedroom super abruptly which was really out of character.

When he told the story I think I cried with laughter

The worst part is there’s a second equally amusing part to this story but I reckon this RDT may wrap up before I get a chance to expand.

I’ll save it for RDT XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXV

It's become a bit of a haven for the criminals from the Dark Web looking to exploit gullible/naive people.

Telegram is a bit of a mixed bag these days. It's a bit different than other messaging platforms because you can have these massive channels. So in the English speaking world it's a lot of kooks, crypto people and far right types.

But in other countries it's just a popular messaging/social media platform.

I used it regularly 10 years ago or so when WhatsApp wasn't encrypted. It was new and growing in popularity in Europe.

Now most apps are encrypted, a lot of the good features have been co-opted and if you want to do nefarious shit there are better apps for it.

Never really got into the channel thing, but seems like they're just full of scammers, Russians, feds and loons.
