I haven't been able to wear anything more to bed than underwear since the age if 13, just find it too restrictive and I end up sweating on the collar of my tshirt, I just tend to put more blankets on instead. In saying that whenever we've travelled to places that actually experience real cold evenings it's not ideal.

Pretty sure you've mentioned it before, but I do like the opportunity to break out all my expensive coats that can be somewhat of a pointless investment living in Perth, but they're great for walking from the front door to the car.
