Pretty shocking start to the season. The starting 11 is pretty decent but there hasn't been any decent depth in SA cricket for a long, long time.

Have to say I'm pretty disappointed the SACA's have let Klinger go only to bring in Cosgrove. A great leader and solid player, Klinger was a huge part of the momentum this state side was building. I feel like that has been eroded by removing his leadership and replacing it with the lazy, toxic behaviour of Cossie.

Then you look at Peter George, stars for Qld after being overlooked here for a few seasons. Ryan Harris dominating for qld and now Australia after leaving us. One of the biggest hurdles of this side eventually bringing home some silverware is the people in charge making catastrophic decisions over and over.

Our bowling line-up is a rabble at the moment, Queensland looking like getting 350. Gettable on AB field but you actually need some in-form batsmen to do it.
Just saw the score- why is Cossie bowling the last over??

Also, great to see Joe Burns actually convert a start into a big score for once.

No idea, all the bowlers were getting carted around so it didn't really matter who bowled it. Zampa once again the best bowler.

Yeah, good player and another one who always seems to come out to play against the Redbacks. Could have gone massive though, there were more runs out there if he wanted them.

Maybe Tait wasn't the worst pickup given how rubbish the rest of the Redback quicks are.

Quality death bowling really is dead if Cossie's doing it now.

Him and Zampa are the only one who look like taking wickets between the 10-40 over mark. Not sure Putland was dropped either, oh well. Just need to get ready for the Shield from here.

Well... can't disagree but with Putland out of the side who else is there to finish the innings off. Lawford and Winter would both get carted probably worse than Cossie. Tait is probably too quick for his own good on grounds like AB field and North Sydney oval and probably would've gone worse than Cossie with Reardon and Forrest both in.

Probably wouldn't be the worst idea to put Putland on ice until the Sheffield Shield starts.

Cosgrove is a ****ing joke. Forcing Klinger out was so obviously stupid and it didn't take long for it to backfire.

cosgrove can bat, is out of form ATM & is a few years younger than klinger.
the bit that puzzles me about cosgrove, is how fat he is! in a day and age, where they are payed good money to be just full time cricketers, who play for 6 months of the year, the states & teams employ, fitness staff, nutritionists. to monitor players fitnesso_O

Fair enough, it's probably hard to bowl at the death there for anyone there. Winter seems pretty raw, Tait is Tait and I have no idea why Lawfrod is bowling at this level.

Yeah, Lawford is dreadful. Would have no issues playing him as a batsman over Lehmann.

Botha being out really hurts you guys. You won't win many games if you're trying to get 20 overs out of Lawford, Cossie and Head.

Don't understand why SA wouldn't give Tom Cooper a few overs. Has a decent bowling record for a part-timer in limited overs contests. Better option that someone like Head surely.

Peter George - 15 List A games and just 11 wickets over seven seasons with the Redbacks (2005-06, 2008-2014), then 8 wickets in his first two games for Queensland, including 5-fer today.
Ah, but now he has to luxury of bowling against the Redbacks. ;)
