Losing Weller and Powell for the year in consecutive games is devastating for them.

Add in King at the start of the year, they've always had shit luck with injuries

watching the logies and saw Bruce Mcavaney get his award.

What a legend.

Took me back to tge 90s and 00s when he and ch7 were kings and unmissable viewing.

It was all about the game then.

Wish I had the passion for footy I had when I was a kid.

Powell injury is nasty…Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys QB) had an almost identical injury in 2020, compound fracture and dislocation of the ankle. Eerily similar the way they were both on the ground, holding the leg up with the right ankle pointing outwards from the body. In Prescotts case it was two rounds of surgery, but was back playing at the start of the following season (10.5 months later).‬ I’m sure Powell will be back some time in the second half of next year, ready for another crack at it

Hopefully with no loss of speed, power or kicking ability. He is a fantastic young player.

I knew it was bad but I watched anyway (loaded automatically at The Roar when I was reading something else). We need to equip the trainers with a syringe of morphine for situations like this.

Least humans don't get treated like horses

Would have sworn it was a displaced tib/fib fracture.

However, with that sort of dislocation its going to be just as long (if not longer) road back.

Actually starting to wish the Suns had some luck.

Does being the wooden spooner make you more empathetic?

Not that I've noticed and the content of the Simpson thread agrees with me.

I think that's what that green whistle was that he was sucking on when being taken away on the stretcher. Maybe not Morphine, but some kind of heavy pain killer

It has made me more empathetic as other teams arent a threat to us (as we are not competing).

When we're in a flag window, I hate everyone as top 2/4 often comes down to one win difference.

It's Morphine.

Penthrox, it's a non-addictive and non-narcotive pain reliever
