Segue on Fletcher, it annoys me greatly that his 400 game achievement is never questioned even though the last season he played was technically part of his doping suspension. His personal records in those games should be vacated.

I didn't realise he actually played 400 games. The bloke was hyped by the media but for the last 100 games (at least) he was a spud that consistently cost his teams goals. Everyone knew it too.

It is great watching the highlights of Lecca kicking 12 against the scum. Fletcher couldn't do shit to stop a man that he had at least a head more height on, not to mention his go go gadget reach.

I missed the game last night but the bigger issue is Richmond once again managing to win games they should lose. As much as I hate to say it, they are a good team who are hanging around and almost certain to make a move toward the end of the year. If we don't beat them next week then you can almost certainly lock them in for top 4 and another flag push.

They absolutely dominated last night to be fair. 52 inside 50s to 17 at one point in the fourth, but the margin was only a goal or so then. Horrendous kicking and Essendon kicking one behind kept it respectable.

Of course if the game plays out identically BUT with the horrendous diving frees that Richmond conned their way into, they may well have lost, but scrape by they did not.

True but they've lost against some average and good sides and scraped over the line against teams they should be thrashing. Miles off the pace at present.

Well I mean, I'd hope my team would do the same in that situation.

I still remember one time vs Collingwood where Priddis CLEARLY touched a ball which went through for goal, despite the commentators saying they were unsure. One reply was in HD and it show half his hand getting to the ball. Miraculously, they didn't show that one replay again and only showed very grainy 'inconclusive' footage and the goal stood.

Made me realise how rigged this competition is for certain teams.

He played the games but shouldn't get any accomplishments based on them, otherwise it's a waste of time including that season as part of the players' suspension. It's common for college coaches to have wins vacated as a result of violations; should be the same principle with Essendon players.
