I think you mean hallowed, however hollowed is probably more of an apt way to describe the absurdity of the situation.

Sometimes the donkeys at VaFL house make some oustlandish decisions.
What sort of a message does this extravagant spend, send to the industry in general.

The VFL just cant let it go can they.
We're gonna have to listen to vicmedia dribble on all season next year about the GF being back at its rightful home.
Let me set the scene. Richmond v Brisbane Grand Final. Richmond up by 3 points late in the 4th. 32 seconds to go. Tom Lynch has received the ball in space and is streaming towards kicking the sealer. Suddenly as he steps on the freshly laid holy MCG turf, he trips and spills the ball. Mitch Robbo collects and quickly dishes it off which starts a chain reaction that ends with Charlie Cameron slotting a goal with 4 seconds left. Richmond lose the GF because of the unset MCG turf. World celebrates.
I hope the truck breaks down and the dies on the trip up.
Would like to relive that entire week. Media were riding them sooo hard and the players were gulping down that bath water - a sure thing to roll into WA, displace us and carry on to GF day.
I might have to spend a couple of hours reading all the online articles in the build up and then treat myself to the full game including half time show.
