News Rejuvenated Fevola has a spring in his step

Has been very solid this year, save the 2nd Essendon game.

His icking has been average however....and still is even after his recovery. The Hawks game must have really struck his confidence. You can see how angry he is every time he misses.

Don't think we realise how much the Geelong & Port games would have done for his confidence. He is back taking pack marks and slamming goals from 50.

He could seriously kick 10 this week.

I can sense a huge finals series coming up for fev and juddy.

It's good to see that he has got back to his old grip on the footy, i don't know why but half way through the year he seemed to change his grip to the more conventinal way of kicking and this definately effected not only his accuracy but also his distance.

I'm sure this can be worked on during the pre-season, but why tinker with it during the season when there is no reason to.

If Fev can get his kicking going, he is going to be huge in the finals. He love the big stage, the crowd etc.

I believe Fev was made for one thing and one thing only, i think he was made for September. I just get the feeling with all the media and attention and the crowd and atmosphere that Fev is going to absolutely dominate come finals time. GO FEV.

In finals footy you need to have as many match-winners as possible in your team - those with an ability to just light up, take a game by the scruff of the neck and push the team towards a victory.

We no doubt have a couple but Fev would be right up there at the top of the list. He's exactly the type of player you'd want in a final, he loves the big stage and I'm certain he'll deliver.

Fev is having a wonderful season and I can't wait to see the magic he brings to our finals campaign - sit back and enjoy the show.

It's great to see Fevola in this kind of state, both mentally and physically. There has been something different about him in the last month, his desire for the contest has certainly lifted.

Hopefully he can keep it up during the finals and give us a show! It would seem that the weight he lost would have been that extra weight (muscle) that he put on over the pre-season?

so making him put on 6kgs in the pre season was a bad idea now
It appears they thought he would still be as fast on the lead, still able to chase down, but have more bulk to more one on ones. Usually something has to give when you pile on muscle mass, usually stamina.

while I love Fev and agree he loves the big occasions, i don't think we should expect/require him to do anything extra special come finals. with the bigger occasion and bigger pressure also comes more attention from the opposition and defenders. Look at the Hawks last year with Buddy in the Finals. He kicked 1 in the Prelim and 2 in the Granny (i know he kicked 8 in the first round). my point being that despite Buddy being hyped up to dominate the finals, the Hawks found a way to win without big contributions from him.

so i think that will be the key for us come Finals. Not Fev kicking 6-8 goals each game, but other guys stepping up their game. i would be more excited to see a renaissance from Eddie Betts in the Finals. that would mean more to us than Fev kicking a big bag.

Not at all, it has actually helped him in he long run because he is at his perfect playing weight now instead of being 5 kg lighter which is what an average player would lose over the course of the season...

Well done to our training services department...

Our fitness staff have done a great job with the whole team. I am impressed how we are still running out games, and don't look like we are slowing down even the the last quarters. :thumbsu:

Obviously we need everyone to step up, but there can be no denying that Fev is made for finals footy.

Its a shame our hopefully long run in making finals didn't begin with a 2-3 year younger Fev.

In saying that it's a good thing he is a little older and hopefully wiser. He is at his peak now, has learnt a lot along the way. And now the stage is set for him to lead the young blues up forward for a few years.
