Yep that is my boy Beanie
hes seriously developing into an amazing player
and i have 2 laugh/shake my heads at all the people that wrote him off

He does win taps out frequently during games but still can improve...very happy to see hes worked on his kick as i felt this is what was holding him back a little...can get a decent kick now, slot goals and to my amazement will take on an opponent and tackle them even if its a long way down...can also shrug off a tackle from time to time im very very proud of him

Hell if they are leaping like that...its a very good sign!

Thanks Soph.. see you females do know your footy:thumbsu:

Ya gunna have to put some tuiton into Vonny ..to get her up to "roomie" speed!:D...(in the thick skin department!)

yeah, thanx Soph. Your Ressie reports are heaps more informative than the official twaddle that comes out. Keep it up.

Looking forward to Thornton being named on Thursday night, along with Bird.

I know Jesse White has been going OK, but I wonder if Pyke will be considered to play Hawthorn? Taylor and Campbell are a pair of dinosaurs, but not much of a threat in general play and not very mobile. Roos might take the opportunity to continue Pyke's education.

Thanks for the wrap up, good to find out how Ves went.:thumbsu:

Interesting to see so many comments regarding the umpiring in AFL canberra

both teams have to cop the inconsitency

I heard that Tuggers Hawks midfield made mince meat of your more highly fancied AFL listed players. Well done to them

Appreciate you look at these games with one eye - but please give some credit to these non professional players that compete against your guys.

look forward to the next Belco Magpies /Swans clash as i reckon you will be at 15 or 16 listed players - will make it close:thumbsu:

cheers

I'd suggest those you 'heard' it from may be a bit one-eyed as well. It was a good contest in the middle and the Hawks boys stood up well, but to say they made 'mince meat' of the Swans midfield is ridiculous. The damage was done by the Hawks forwards being way too big, too strong and too experienced for 4 teenage top-ups playing in the Swans defence.

As for your second point, I believe we still can only have 13 listed players on the field at a given time. Will help with rotating them and giving them a rest, but it is still a huge ask to cover for the frequently hopelessly outclassed boys who are asked to top-up.

Never has it been more evident how crucial the standard of top-ups is to the Swans success was the game against undefeated leaders Eastlakes a fortnight ago. Eastlakes were VERY lucky to escape with a draw on a day when the Swans top-ups actually were equipped to provide a contest.

I think the Swans need to implement some form of "Transition to Retirement" plan for some of our delistings and retirees. Top the ressies side up that way. It seems that what you have a bunch of boys playing against men, supplemented by half a dozen even skinnier boys. This seems a ridiculous state of affairs.

Our clubs forward scout indicated that the Swans actually has many listed players in back half - O,Keefe & O'Dwyer being 2 at HB , also Pyke playing a kick behind play for most of the day.
your ruckman had 99% of hit outs but Tuggers mids won most footy out of middle
btw - its Eastlake not Eastlakes:cool:
how do

Terrific, all 5'10 of DOK and MOD with 4 skinny kids as a defence. I say bring on Roughie and Buddy

The only listed player who was a constant in the backline was Gilly, and he just happened to have a shocker. MOD only played back in the last quarter and DOK played at HF for at least the first quarter and wasn't sighted for the rest of the game (no great surprise).

btw - its O'Keefe not O,Keefe:cool:

Hi Ressies fans,

I will be at the Qbn v Swans match commentating so I will give you an update on how things went. (Who played well and who didn't from your side)

For the record as previously mentioned I think the Tigers will win by around 6 goals.

Weather has been wet the last few days which should assist the bigger bodies of the Tigers.

They played reasonably well against Eastlake last week and should continue there recent improvement in a must win game.

how exciting i wish we got 2 hear or see the games in sydney would be so exciting
I will give u a 100 bucks if u say Daniel Currie is Hot or if you say Jake "Beanie" Orreal lol

watch Currie, Jake and Nick Smith for me

mmm i know he wasnt well enough 2 play seniors but im sure he'll be fine for the ressies...i hope

If he's not well enough to play seniors and the reports were correct he was going to picked he gets the week off the ressies too.

Are the ACT playing the mid year gap or do the ACT have a rep gamei? f they do play hopfully Smith comes baqck the next week and presents himself well enough to be considered for the pies game.

The bye coincides with out bye, and I think the Canberra AFL play Sydney AFL in their annual game. A Bit High can correct me if I'm wrong.

Shit

Would someone tell this guy to go back over what he writes so when he reads it it doesn't look so poor.

Correct grim, Ressies have a bye next weekend, its not a bye as such but this round is a split round with 1 game this weekend and 2 the following week. Canberra AFL play Sydney AFL on the last weekend in July.
