It's one of the top 3 requirements in our search premiership as a player or as a coach
Well he has played in 2 grand finals and been a 3 time premiership assistant coach. So he's looking solid there.

Exactly

His young

Has experienced a job outside footy
Media savvy

He ticks all their boxes

Facts are, if Mini was at any other club that had won 3 premierships in 5 years, we'd be all over him like a rash.
It's why Pies, Essendon and the Orange team will all over our assistants.
If Mini does not get the job, odds on will be Assistant at Stkilda.

The main box he doesn't tick he hasn't been outside the 4 walls of Richmond in his coaching career since 2014 and knows nothing different huge factor. We need fresh ideas and a different voice. The good relationships should play no factor the coach is the coach has to be line drawn.

Agree with what you said. I truely believe we will be professional about the process, only way he gets the job is if he is the best and recommend by the panel/board.

Very good test for him tomorrow. He's publicly stated in his presser today our pressure wasn't up to it and it's an area we're looking to address.
So if we come out tomorrow and our pressure is shit, it's a big cross to his resume because it shows that his message isn't getting through or that the players aren't responding to him. You can't change your offensive ability overnight, but defensive pressure is purely mindset and effort based, so if he has the players then there should be an instant response tomorrow.

Will be watching that part of our game closely.

Can he coach in his own right through ?. Is he his own man with ideas , rejuvenation and game style not sold on that. Tomorrow is a good test how the team bounces back. Even if he wins every game from here the club has to do due process which his going through with other candidates to.

Talent absolutely, but I just don't think there is any buy in. It just seems their players are always in holiday mode. Would hate to see him go up there as their saviour and it tarnishes his coaching career.
that's why someone like dimma would be a good fit. shape up or ship out would be it

It should have been Fly McCrae, if he was still there, he would be the logical heir apparent. Hes been a friggin genius with my mob, hes carbon copied the Tigers three peat flag plan, blueprint, mass attacks, chaos footy, constant run on, and hes totally rejuvenated the Pies. He obviously leant from Dimma, the Master Coach, so, thank you Dimma for that, we owe you, goodluck mate. Cheers.
People here question whether McRae was the real genius behind the game plan.
Arrives in '17 after a 13th place finish.
Leaves in '20 before a 12th place finish.
We win 3 flags in between...

Never read so much dribble than your last sentence.
You haven’t won anything yet so ride your go cart out of here.

Well he’s got to be realistic with the MC as they picked a terrible low rating pressure side last week.
selection tonight will be interesting. If they bring in Soldo then he can go out the door and follow Dimma.

The only Thing you haven’t inherited is the free kick bias

Hardwick coaches 3 AFL flags.

McRae coaches 1 VFL flag.

But McRae is the genius behind everything?

It amazes me how little credit Hardwick gets from people generally, it is like nobody can believe he could be a great coach, despite it being incredibly obvious that he is. The bloke inherited a list worse than the list to starboard that sunk the Titanic. The football department was not yet fully funded, and there were basically no players with finals experience. Despite these issues, he had a young team playing for him very quickly and in finals by year 4 and the rest was history of course.

McRae has spent his time manoeuvring between clubs who were in great positions on and off field when he arrived. Send him to West Coast Eagles right now and see how he gets on.

Hayden skipworth is a gem took essendon vfl to 3 consecutive final series when they were a rabble

Is highly rated as the main force behind collingwoods new brand of footy

I could be wrong but also apart of there structure in the 18 grand final

However lacks premiership success so has already been ruled out
Looks to be a capable asst , these types would have to blow the panel away in my books. Steve morris is doing an outstanding job at VFL oft with an undermanned side ,,,still I wouldn’t consider him ,,,,,yet
