All these "fans" would be shocked if they ever read about our culture of vulnerability.
And that wasn't even private. The culture of vulnerability, inclusiveness and mindfulness has been publicly talked abut a lot.

I'm honestly shocked people are apparently against the very thing that turned our club from a basket case to a dynasty. Without all that, we never win a single flag. That was essential to creating the best team they will see in their lives.

lol there is a reason that Mini is the only assistant no one poached maybe..

I love how we had them all and somehow, we ended up with literally the last one that no one ever even showed any interest at all in
lol this is just an incredibly dumb way to view this

I have no idea why some people with 0 insight into any of these clubs, processes or decision making think they they generally know anything. You literally have no idea what any of those clubs wanted or even what Mini wanted.

Its honestly like reading the blurb of a book and then going to talk to the author about it like you know more about it than them.

PLUS it was well documented that St Kilda made a big play for him to be senior assistant and he turned it down as he was fully invested in Richmond.

I love Mini, but am happy for the club to follow their process.

Yeh I like him too, but also I am kinda against him as our coach. Just because hes only been an assistant here and only been under Dimma. I think you do need new ideas which he just hasn't had exposure too. Would be great at another club and would expect him to do similair things as whats happening at GWS at the moment.

He is coaching a team in transition mode.

Anyway the club will find our next coach.

Not going to sit up all night stressing over it.

The club has a fantastic culture with strong people.

Essentially it’s describing Craig McRae and his coaching and team management philosophy’s

The guy 90% of us would love to be our coach yet somehow it’s interrupted as a negative and woke

We have some really weird supporters who lack the ability to read between the lines
Yep but more importantly its describing us post 2016 - in essence thats who weve become, the reason we became successful and we want to ensure that it continues

Just regarding Yze, hes the one that developed melbournes defensive strategy when he joined them from the hawks. From the start he's been my preferred candidate. Got a feeling it will come down to Mini and Yze.

Coaching career[edit]

In January 2012, Yze joined Hawthorn as a part-time assistant coach.[11]

On 14 November 2014, Yze replaced Luke Beveridge as Hawthorn's backline coach, after previously working with the Hawks as a specialist goal-kicking and development coach for the past three seasons. Yze was credited for played a key role in harnessing the Hawthorn players' elite kicking skills as they developed into the AFL's deadliest team in front of goal over the past two seasons, with the team's accuracy increasing from 48 per cent to 57.1 per cent during his tenure as goalkicking coach.[12]

After six seasons as a Hawthorn assistant coach Yze was appointed to the Melbourne coaching board for the 2021 season.[13] The Demons would have an outstanding 2021 season in which they finished on top of the ladder and were a dominant team throughout the regular season and the finals series which was capped off with a commanding victory over the Western Bulldogs to win the 2021 premiership. Yze was a key architect in creating their league best defence that was a key factor in their historic premiership win. In the 2022 season Melbourne would continue their dominant ways extending the winning streak to 17 games, until the second half of the year in which momentum was halted and they struggled with consistency. Yze continued his role as midfield coach overseeing arguably the best midfield in the competition while their team defence still remained elite and one of the top in the competition. Near the end of the season Yze was heavily linked to the vacant GWS and Essendon senior coaching roles,[14] however the role was eventually awarded to then Richmond assistant coach Adam Kingsley and Brad Scott.[15]

Yze has my vote

Any visibility on who's actually on the shortlist?

The only one I know for sure is McQualter, but apart from that we have no idea?
By the article from the age

“Andrew McQualter, as caretaker, will be a serious candidate, while the likes of Daniel Giansiracusa (Essendon) and Chris Newman have their hands up and Ash Hansen (Carlton), Troy Chaplin (Melbourne), Hayden Skipworth (Collingwood, ex-Essendon) could be in the frame, especially if coaching a team in state leagues is preferred by the Tigers.”

Seem to be the known candidates

Chaplin is not going through the process apparently.

See Yze isn't even specifically mentioned, there's not a lot of transparency I guess.

Who knows
The media like to act like they know but in reality they only have small parts of the puzzle as well

I keep going back to it but just think back to when Pies appointed McRae no one in the media mentioned him once as a prospect

Honestly I think maybe I need to take a break from BigFooty for a while. Some of the things some of you so-called supporters are writing is just so disappointing.

How you’ve all turned on the club as soon as things aren’t to your liking. Obviously what Geelong and other club fans say about us is true. We’re a bunch of feral fair weather supporters.

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but the self righteous and sanctimonious attitude of some people about Damien Hardwick’s private life just amazes me.

100% agree. It’s sickening
