Richmond Trade Goals

Get rid of concrete boots Graham :whitecheck:
Get pick #14 for Baker :whitecheck:
Get #6 + #23 for Rioli :whitecheck:

Get #2 from north for #6 + #20
Trade #24 into a 2025 1st rounder

Begrudgingly having to update my Richmond wish list after giving up #14 for #18 - Blair taking a hit here

Richmond has won trade week. They are the undisputed winners. This is not including the Shai Bolton and Dan Rioli trades.

Adrian Dodoro has nothing on your mob. Dodoro is insigificant. Dodoro can only dream of doing 20 to 25% of the god trades Richmond as done in this trade period.
Trading week is like a boxing match between posters. Bluff and bluster before it gets serious, sparring and a few haymakers thrown as it gets serious and then shake hands when it's all over. Well played.

Pretty funny he says it's "easily at expansion club era levels" then immediately shows it's a long way off what the expansion clubs received.

Great draft hand though.
Aside from GC and GWS, it's the best draft hand I've ever seen, in supposedly a good draft.

This is effectively 3 years of rebuild in just 1 year

But the beauty is we still have 10 players that are senior and can guide the kids the first few years and with next years group we get in just before the tassie domination

If you have to bottom out this is the best case scenario

That's what I was thinking.

Gold Coast - 8 picks, average pick #7
GWS - 11 picks, average pick #7
Richmond - 8 picks, average pick #14

So what are the salary cap rules regarding underpaying the cap (e.g. 90%) and then following up with overpaying the cap (e.g. 110%) in later years? Already thinking about player retention.
Richmond will just about pay 75% of Hopper , taranto , Balta contracts in 1 year as well as paying tom Lynch final year $1.5 mil in 2025.

Big free agency plays coming up for Richmond next 2-3 years
Hope cap trading comes in next year also

Forgot cap trading. If we can do that whilst we have low salaries, we can get more top picks again. Freaky concept of multiple bumper draft years whilst still having 1/2 a premiership team (not the best 1/2 though).

If Essendon wants to jump back in the first round after a bid for Kako is matched, Richmond are ideally placed to trade one of their later first round picks to get either Essendon or Melbourne's pick next year. Could pay off handsomely.
We can give them #23 for the bombers F1 and #24 for the Dee's F1

The jurno's would go mad and Karen's head would explode
