It really isn't Richmond vs the world.
It just seems like it because those jumping on GWS are very vocal about doing so.
There are are loads of Victorians who see this as state thing. Half my family are Collingwood and they are not going near GW after last week. There are also truck loads that haven't magically moved past the 'manufactured plastic side thing (that I don't subscribe to).
So you know....first GF and the way they got in, fantastic. But let's call BS on Australia galvanizing behind GWS...because it is BS.

The Grand Final crowd is a bit of a joke. Half the "supporters" there are either neutral members of some sort, benefits of corporate or competition tickets or just there for the event and theatre because it's a GF. We aren't talking about an 100k strong crowd filled with genuine week to week members or club supporters.
Never going to be fair unfortunately, the afl and clubs make lots of money from the grand final with corporate tickets and that is not going to change anytime soon. It’s up to fans to get memberships that give them the best chance of going if they really want to go although I understand that is not possible for everyone.

The more I hear about the Giants this week, the more I fear them.

You cant deny their talent, they have a real chip on their shoulder this finals season also.

We will have to weather the storm early and see if we can take some wind out of their sails otherwise I could see them getting a real roll on that we cant stop quick enough.

I think a lot of non GWS supporters want a close game but deep down they know Richmond will be miles in front. No one was talking about GWS a month ago, they are an average team in my view. Tigers to make them look second rate.

Way too confident. This is going to be close and difficult for the winner.

fatigue will kick in 2nd half so may as well sacrifice a tall for a small and get a bit more run but your right, Davis tweaks that calf and he's massively restricted against one of the best gut running KPF's in the comp.

They will rotate quite a lot anyway.

Mixed feelings about this game. Heart says GWS but head is telling me Richmond.
Feels like Richmond can do the old rope-a-dope and take the best of the oppositions punishment before going into beast mode for 30 minutes of a game to bust it apart.
Yep

Starting to think may be a belting

Lol... Beveridge just talked about the GWS strongarm tactics off the ball. Maybe if he didn’t talk his team up so much before the game they would’ve been a bit more up for the contest.
Not sure why you’re getting bent out of shape. It’s a tactic GWS successfully employ - as well as being one of the most talented sides in the league.

Tough teams win finals.

Geelong, Hawthorn, Brisbane and Essendon all used similar tactics during their successful eras.

Got no problems if teams play on the edge and "make them earn it", if someone is there to be bumped do it, if you can crash a pack with your knee, do it, if we can body on body Whitfield, do it.

Anything legal goes. I just hope we don't see Mumford do something illegal that hurts someone or deliberately hurts someone outside what's reasonable in the play of game because he's probably retiring and it doesn't matter. I hope we don't see Greene employ some of his questionable tactics like a face rake or a boot to the face because he's done that stuff before. Bumping Whitfield and tackling hard at every opportunity? Yes. Whacking him in the stomach off the ball? No.

Play hard and aggresive, play to the limits, but play within the game of Australian rules.

And how do you know that none of your blokes won't do a Mumford or a Greene? They're no angels themselves.

I just have this feeling that Mummy is going to do a Lynch tomorrow and retire with an 8 game suspension.
I find it funny that people get this idea that Mummy is this big bad monster, he can try all he likes, but i bet if he does then he will get more coming back at him.
Also, if he does try too hard to hurt people, the game will be over very quickly.

We were pretty confident ahead of the 2017 GF too. We know how that turned out...

Geelong would have knocked you off if they'd kicked straight in the second term. They should have been 8 goals up at the main break.

For those Tigers worrying about the umpires, don’t. The Giants are last on the free kick differential this year. We are -22 so far this finals series. This same umpire group paid 11-1 against us in the last quarter against the Lions.
You won’t have any worries with umpires come Saturday.
We were on the bottom with -20 more than the next in 17, and on the bottom with -70!!!!!! More than th next in 18 so that doesn't help th nerves lol
