Pickett was a noted big game player at south fremantle. We got him mid-season for a reason similar to this, probably not a grand final reason though
One big question of mine that seems to continually get ignored..... who the hell is saying that Richmond are unbeatable???of course its possible. its the grand final. neither team are there to be mucking.
richmond have the edge youd think but they’re not that much better in any aspect,, definitely not unbeatable.
Ross and Macintosh would be stoked! Sit out boys... oh this guy dominated sorry well go with him! What a spewConfirmed. Huge. Wow.
Pickett picked for Grand Final debut

If he's better then why not pick him? Seems obviousRoss and Macintosh would be stoked! Sit out boys... oh this guy dominated sorry well go with him! What a spew
They all do it.Someone I know just bought tickets off off one of the Richmond players allocation for a lazy $1300. Pretty poor of the players to be ripping off there own fans. Not to mention illegal
Someone gotta miss, this is not old news in sports.Ross and Macintosh would be stoked! Sit out boys... oh this guy dominated sorry well go with him! What a spew
You don't fluke finals wins. They beat two top 4 teams in finals at away grounds in consecutive weeks. That's a pretty tremendous feat. Who knows how well they'll follow those efforts up as they were surely taxing, but there was nothing lucky or flukish about those victories.Going to be some sort of slaughter on Saturday. Giants have been brave, but they’ve fluked their way thru the last 2 weeks. Could easily be 100+ if rich go hard to the end
Finlayson and Tomlinson have shared the backup role and haven’t done too bad of a job so far.Keefe out is big. One ruck for GWS really. Big call.
They have enough talls anyway. Plus Finlayson is allowed to push his opponent in the ruck contestsKeefe out is big. One ruck for GWS really. Big call.
My analysis in a nutshell. If Richmond get there play on, tippy tappy game going then they win.
If GWS can stop the momentum of the tigers when they surge, be it through hatching the ball amd conceding a holding the ball and slowing down the play, or get it out of bounds even if it’s deemed deliberate, then Giants a massive chance. If you can stop the Richmond over the back goals, they don’t neccesarily have a great plan B.
This is what cost Geelong in the 2nd half last week. Quite a few times they allowed Richmond to extract the ball from seemingly impossible situations on the boundary line instead of getting the ball out of play.
Will be an intriguing contest. I’m backing the giants to be that bit smarter for a bit longer than the cats.
