Are there any neutrals going for the Tiges? Don't expect many but interested

Not sure if Bulldogs fans can be considered neutral given the enmity between us and GWS, but if so then I’m absolutely going for the tigers.

You have to respect what GWS have done this month, but you don’t have to like it.

The giants path is not the exactly the same, but simular to the Dogs in 16
Dogs- week bye helped get star players back
Faced the hottest side in the finals in the Eagles that the bye halted their momentum.
And carried it on to win away in the prelim by under a goal.
Giants- week bye helped them get players back to face the form finals team in the Dogs that the bye halted their form momentum.
That gave them confidence to win the semi and the prelim away from home by under a goal.
Only slight difference is that the first final was played away for the dogs in 16 and home with the Giants.
And home for the Dogs at the MCG in the Semi and away for the Giants in Brisbane.
In saying that i expect the Giants to win, but hope to god the Tigers do.

Lol. This is a 50/50 game.

Graham out is massive for the tigers. If some of the Giants get off the chain, Richmond basically have no one who can clamp down on them.

If it wasn’t for the MCG factor and I was looking at it purely head to head I’d have GWS slight favourites

Heh. The MCG and Graham aren't even variables in this equation. Just because it's hyped as a 50/50 game doesn't make it one. Richmond should win this by more than 5 goals and that's a very conservative estimate (unless it rains of course). Richmond is just the better team.

If Davis is a late out or cannot move well enough, I might tip Tiggies as tend to think if ball gets forward one of Lynch or Riewoldt will be too experienced with positioning and body for younger Giant tall backs. Having said that if Giants get it more forward than Tigers, maybe they win anyway. Giants midfield is still strong even without Ward and Coniglio. Tigers will be favourites but if Davis lines up I picking the Giants. Historic first premiership win would be awesome to see today.
Go Giants!!!

It's a big big sound, from the west of the town....

Grigg must get the nod for most self indulgent media person today... just made Pickett’s story about himself... “I’m the reason he exists at the club”... if they win you might half expect him to step up on the podium to collect... keep flogging it up Grigg!

Many pundits now picking Giants, seems a big shift the last week. It's funny how you can talk yourself into something. Or maybe they are right, and they have the momentum and Tiges will suffer the luke warm not playing much syndrome like Swans did against the mighty Dogs. Will be a very quiet MCG if Giants get an early jump and tigers can't make a move because they are choked. Will be interesting to see how fit Cotchin and Dusty really are versus Phil D on the other side. Quite a few murmerings . Finally, will Pickett selection have any effect? It was very unRichmond like, and one wonders if there will be some unintended consequences today and down the track. I recall what happened over 40 years ago at RFC when the Whale was beached and sold off for a bottle of perfume. Poor player selections ruined RFC's campaign last year, will it happen again, are the Giants in their heads before the game starts just like the Pies were last year? Is the Richmond Football Club mentally fragile, is the yellow on the shirt of any significance? Let's see.

Giants by 30 plus, and the expansionists will be proven correct and the conservative Victorians to be party poopers and just plain wrong.

That’s a big call. I’ve watched all finals (I’m sure you have too) and whilst i would prefer GWS I think Richmond set themselves up really well out of the back half to control play and win this. If Davis is out there he’s underdone and Whitfield might be quite sore. It’s hard to tip strongly but for me it’s Tigers to win.

one thing is certain imo if GWS don’t lock down on Houli and Prestia this will be over before 3/4 time.

Prestia probably goes too much under the radar but he’s so much in the engine room for Richmond imo that if they win I would back him to win the NS.
Might be dealing with a strong tag for parts of today, be interesting to see how he handles it if that's the case.

I reckon Tiges will choke under pressure.

I hope this is a close game, but feel Richmond might romp home.
Same

GWS profile - tough finals campaign, emotional wins, first time GF, players with injury concerns is the profile of a team that will be well beaten.

Hope Im wrong and its a competitive game but feel if tigers lead at half time, this could be an 8 goals plus result

I think we are okay in big games.
Our finals record since 2017 is 6-1 with a ridiculous percentage.

Not saying we won't/can't lose, but the trend is we can handle big games. We aren't Geelong that continually fail in finals.
