richmond again have failed when it has matted and to give their supporters hope for another year they will reach 9th i feel sorry for the supporters show good form late in the season to give them hope of finals next year and the to finish 9th again and again

Do you even follow football?

1998
2008
2011

Arguably 2002.

These are the only years in the last decade and a half that this has actually happened.

The ultimate battle of the also rans.

North claim they have improved, yet will still win less games this year and be further away from the finals than twelve months ago.

Richmond generally pull good performances out of nowhere when the pressure is off them and their season is over. 15th last year, now two games out of the finals this year = some improvement.

Tigers, narrowly. But whoever wins you can almost be guaranteed they will be blowing their trumpet to cringeworthy levels all summer about how fabulous they are.

ah like you guys did?

Really?? Come on man, bit rich coming from a North supporter.

Enjoy your $2,300 dollar bank account whilst we make 1,000,000 off of two games.

Mate, what is rich is a Tiges supporter having a go at North for selling games when you;ve flogged your finals chances to Cairns.

Oh, and we're looking at making 900,000k odd of EACH of our Tassie games next year.

That should make up for the all empty seats Brayshaw needs to fill at Etihad throughout the rest of the season.

Seriously, don't start pumping North's tyres, you all wasted my time with that Lachie Hansen Vs. Jack Riewoldt thread.

Pointless game.
If it werent for it being Rawlings last game its a total dead rubber.
But then last week we could of made finals for Brady so i got nfi.
North usually beats the shitter teams but all in all i wanna see skills sess after skills sess now. Lot of work to do in preseason.

There is a good rule of thumb test as to whether Richmond late season games are meaningless.

If we win them they are pointless. This is pointless. Richmond will win.... If a finals place was up for grabs North would walk away with it.

That's what I thought last week.

:despondent face thingy:

How are the Angus Graham vs Todd Goldstein comparisons going?:D
In all seriousness, as much as I'd like to see North win Richmond should be able to take this match.
Tigers are in reasonable form, we're going to be flat as tacks, you would think, after last week, plus lots of changes.
If I was trying to win a tipping comp, I know which way I'd go!

Good post, i think its fair to say none of the teams had the years they hoped for but also developed players and games plans which should hold them in good stead going forward. More of the same debate over the off season id think ;). Tiges have been impressive of late so id say they should start slight favourites.

I cannot believe the ignorance of some people!!! Don't comment on topics which you have NFI about..

At the start of the year, Dimma & the Tigers said this will be another year of development and that we are not expecting to play finals. If you look on the Tigers board from pre season, it is quite clear that the majority of Tiger supporters were expecting us to finish with 7-9 wins for the year. We have currently won 8 games and also had a draw. HOW HAS RICHMOND FAILED US OR NOT ACHIEVED PRE SEASON GOALS? THEY HAVE ACHEIVED EXACTLY WHAT WE EXPECTED FROM SUCH A YOUNG GROUP!

Stick to commenting on your own teams, in your own board's threads, if you have no knowledge of other teams and have no value to add to the thread...

I think the Tigers will win and I will be glad if they do! Wins this year have come off good performances by Cotchin, Martin, Vickery & Rance who will all be around for a long, long time..

Meh, only interest will come from seeing guys like Aaron Black and Shaun Atley being out there. Oh and to see McIntosh & Goldstein work together to silence the trade rubbish.

If I had to tip it, I think we're a better side but no Wells, Ziebell and Greenwood makes it 50/50 and gives Richmond the edge in the midfield, flip a coin.

North to win for mine, but not confident.

Lol Hansen missing...don't make me laugh. Most North fans have been calling for his head this year.

Granted Wells and Ziebell are significant outs but so is Newman as well as a few younger players who are a part of our best 22.

I think we will get up because the Shinboner spirit is a load of BS and Norths season ended last week. Dimma and the boys will want to win for Lids.

To be honest if North get up I won;t be disspointed as we will move 6 spots higher in the draft. Although I would like to see them win for Deledio.

Surpassed where I thought we would be, whether we win or lose this game, with a team that at times was the youngest out there, if you look at where we were middle of last year the talk was of us taking years to even win a game, well this year we have knocked off some top 8 sides, and over all exceeded most supporters expectations, this time if we finish 9th, it's with a very young team with a lot of talent, that unlike some players at other clubs actually want too play for Richmond, I think we have a lot to look forward to, and what the other teams supporters think means nothing.

Go Tiges!
